Obama's slow descent in the polls shows he's shedding his support. He never had the GOP, he's lost the necessary independents for re-election. Now he's losing his hard-core liberal base, as illustrated by the growing number of Hollywood celebrity elitists who were championing his presidency.

Matt Damon joins the growing list of celebrities unhappy with President Obama

Is President Obama losing support in Hollywood?

In an interview set to air tonight, actor Matt Damon tells CNN's Piers Morgan he's unhappy with the president. Asked point blank if he thinks the president has been doing a good job running the country, Damon simply replied, "No."

The criticisms count for more than standard-issue celebrity belly-aching, since Damon was one of Obama's earliest and best-known celebrity supporters during the 2008 presidential campaign. The actor and Oscar-winning screenwriter appeared at fundraisers for the Democratic candidate and hit the campaign trail on Obama's behalf.

The Story also cites several celebrities.

Obama hides his citizenship records, gets his supporters to mock those demanding them as "birthers" and winds up with pending and extremely likely laws in at least 11 states demanding he disclose those records or forfeit getting on the 2012 ballots in those states.

Obama spends trillions to create jobs and bankrupts the country.

Obama promises no more than 8.5 percent unemployment and gets 10 percent, and if you count those who have given up looking for jobs, around 17 percent.

Obama mocks those calling his a socialist and over the next two years video after video of the truth of his associations - spoken BY THE ASSOCIATIONS THEMSELVES (don't listen to scum here saying they aren't true videos - they're of the very people themselves) showing Obama to be not just a socialist, but a Marxist terrorist friend.

What a horrible dope Obama is. The jerk just can't get anything right. Poor little community organizer. Just in a teeny tiny bit over his Marxist head, right along with his lying, desperate, condescending, idiotic supporters. except for those abandoning him. It seems some people do have a conscience.

Oh noes. What ever will we do without Matt Damon.

MATT DAMON!!!!

But they wanted more from Obama. I doubt they would vote for a Republican and make it alot worse.

What will he do without any supporters except a handful of ulta-liberal, tinfoil hatter message board idiots?

Just look at who is asking for exemptions to obamacare. The unions. There is core support for you.

I get sick of hollywood playing politics. I don't care what side they are on.

The bottom line is its all about obama hope and change.

Very true about the exemptions. There is another word for it, too: corruption. And obama's entire immediate sphere of association and influence is thick with it.

BTW, to the other poster who said Obama has held steady in the poll: Bull, every graph except a couple of leftist propagandists like Newsweek show a slow, gradual erosion. I know that terrifies liberals and that in turn enrages them. But Obama is losing across the board. Exhibit A : last November's Elections. Liberals will deny that as evidence, but they're only talking to each other, now. the rest of America has tuned them out.

Obama hasn't been "slowing descending" in the polls.

His polling is nearly the same as it was a year and a half ago.

Fact check: According to gallup - Obama averaged 58% approval for his first year. He is at 45% today. took me 15 seconds to look that up by the way.

And I actually fact checked you: Gallup is at 46 percent and the aver is 47 percent. Still pretty good, its going to drop a bit because of the gas prices and Libya but just like Matt Damon, just because someone doesn't approve the job RIGHT NOW, doesn't mean they will vote for the Republican candidate.

Ooh goodie!! He moved up one point since yesterday!! The fact is his approval rating has been in a fairly steady decline since year one. We'll see what happens in a year and half.

PS- The average for all Presidents (since the inception of the gallup poll) at this phase of their presidency is 58%.

It doesn't surprise me. Everything bad he has done since taking office he has blames the Bush administration for. Like the deficit they ran up with the war and in the first month B-O doubles it. He declares war on small businesses well all businesses for that matter.

That's true.

But Obama is still beating Reagan, and Clinton.

Matt Damon? I thought Justin Bieber was the left's "go to" star for all things political?

This still cracks me up!

It isn't just Damon - many in Hollywood. Obama is such a jackass he can't please anyone. GOP hates him. The independents have abandoned him. His polls are in steady, slow decline overall and are now low enough to justify the idea. November was his calling card for 2012 when almost everyone he campaigned for lost, and the GOP re-took the house by the biggest margin in 70 years. 70 years. Now the hard left, who thought he walked on water, see he's just an inexperienced, empty suit with a mammoth ego - and tied to all the wrong kinds of people.

2010 was the harbinger of 2012. Liberals will go crazy over that because we see the same pattern over and over again on these boards; just cite that Obama is going to lose and they go crazy trying to keep their base from becoming demoralized. Lots of activism - for naught. Hilarious, pathetic and, quite frankly, infuriating, because their agenda is both radical and entirely dishonest. Just like their God, Obama, who, speaking of supernatural deities and their environments, doesn't stand a chance in hell of being re-elected, as November amply demonstrated.
