Fannie Mae spent billions of dollars in lobbyists and trillions of dollars in bad mortgages. We could say that they were greedy bastards or we could say that they were trying to help people who could normally not afford a home, get one. Either way, I don't see the problem with being connected to Fannie Mae. It's like being connected to a drug user... they're not bad people, they're making bad choices.

And McCai's campaign manager took in millions of dollars. Both parties have profited from Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac. What's your point?
