I believe hate comes from those that look towards others rather than looking inward at themselves. I'm including myself here. For me it was GW Bush's decision to invade Iraq and came to a head a few years later when pulling into the office and seeing the company's flag once again at half staff and I wished it was for him.

Why do you see the speck in your neighbor's eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? - Matthew 7:3 (NRS)

my2¢ Leftists ranted and raved at Bush I for not "finishing the job in Iraq" when he didn't remove Saddam Hussein from power. Then when Bush II did remove Saddam Hussein, he caught hell for that too, even from you. There's just no way to please haters, you included. Hussein was such a good guy, wasn't he? "At least he kept order."

Rock bottom, and still digging, while everyone with at least room temperature IQ looks away, embarrassed at the hapless spectacle. Like watching someone pick up fresh dog excrement, smearing it all over his face.

Please quote where I ever gave Bush hell for not removing Saddam Hussein.

I recall things differently, that George HW Bush caught more hell from those on the right for not removing Hussein. From the left came stuff like this:
CONFRONTATION IN THE GULF; U.S. Gave Iraq Little Reason Not to Mount Kuwait Assault -
The Administration's message to Baghdad, articulated in public statements in Washington by senior policy makers and delivered directly to Mr. Hussein by the United States Ambassador, April C. Glaspie, was this: The United States was concerned about Iraq's military buildup on its border with Kuwait, but did not intend to take sides in what it perceived as a no-win border dispute between Arab neighbors.
CONFRONTATION IN THE GULF; U.S. Gave Iraq Little Reason Not to Mount Kuwait Assault

35. First President to side with a foreign nation over one of the American 50 states (Mexico vs Arizona).

36. First President to tell the military men and women that they should pay for their own private insurance because they "volunteered to go to war and knew the consequences."

37. Then he was the First President to tell the members of the military that THEY were UNPATRIOTIC for balking at the last suggestion.

So you purport to represent the Republican Hating Left - to be their voice?
Shirley, you jest.

I purport to represent nobody but myself so I don't know what point you're attempting to make. Giving you the benefit of doubt I'll conclude you've got me confused with somebody else. Heck, I voted for GHW Bush in '88. As far as GW Bush and Iraq went, at the time I figured Americans didn't care enough for Muslims to stomach any drawn out war on their behalf. I also didn't get those going around telling jokes concerning France's thanklessness as I figured there wasn't any reason to believe Iraq was going to be anywhere near as grateful.

Seriously, you believe the war on Iraq was waged on behalf of Muslims?

Not at all, I felt Americans were in a vengeful mood and would soon grow sick and tired of the task of nation building.
