What is the GOP going to do about what? Every day, hundreds, maybe thousands of people hit the 'Net, doing exactly what the right wing wack jobs do right here; spout bullshit. But if you notice, the bull shit is all slanted to a few topics; Gays, guns, abortions and poor people. Oh and tax cuts.

After all the bloggers get done explaining how it is the gays, the lack of guns, abortions and poor people that are to blame for the situation we are in, we will all vote Repubs..

I'll try to put it another way: It doesn't seem like a smart strategy to tell someone they're stupid as a way to get them to agree with you.

So, either they're making a mistake by doing that, or they don't feel they need those votes in the first place. If it is the latter, then I wonder how they feel they get enough votes to win going forward.

I have heard them say that too much of their base stayed home. My guess, therefore, is that all they feel they need to do is maximize their base and they'll be back in the game. I guess I was looking for a little confirmation there.

Pretty simple question, really.

I heard Tom Brokow say yesterday morning that something like 70% of Repub congresspeople are in districts that make them safe for re election. So yes, I believe that Repubs calling all people stupid except for the ones voting for them is in fact their plan.
What do they care if they know they will be re elected? It is the same reason the Rethugs act so fuking stupid in Congress. There seems to be no consequencses to their in action.
As long as the rethugs are appealing to the base that will re elct them, why act reasonable?

And the rethugs know they have no chance at the WH in 2016. And really why would they want the WH. Normal people would expect them to do something constructive if they held the WH.

I wonder how many Americans really believe that Obama follows some type of communist platform? I think this Republican communist thing all started with FDR's second election and Social Security. Republicans fought Social Security by calling it socialism and communism, they didn't have much luck but they continued calling Democratic programs socialism, and then the Cold War hit with the whole McCarthy bit and the words socialism and communism were much more effective, scared the bejabbers out of some Americans or seemed to. The Cold War is gone, communism is dead, and we have always had elements of socialism in our economy, all industrial nations do, but the communist thing must still have traction or would Republicans still be using it? I wonder if it still works or the Republicans are so used to calling things they don't like communist that it's just automatic?
