Gov. Chris Christie has been appointed to a federal advisory committee on trade policy. President Obama on Wednesday named the governor to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations, according to a press release from Christie's office.

“New Jersey in many ways is considered the gateway to international trade," Christie said. "As a member of the advisory committee, I look forward to sharing New Jersey’s experiences while working to ensure that national policies enhance and improve trade opportunities for New Jersey and throughout the country.”

The committee, administered by U.S. trade representative Ron Kirk, provides policy advice on trade issues of overall national interest. Committee members represent various economic sectors impacted by trade and serve two-year terms.

Most Americans wanted a public option in the healthcare bill. Most Democrats wanted it. The Republican minority blocked it.

Seems he is for single payer, and probably thinks that this law will get us there, just like all the other fringers, and most of the people arguing against it.

Cap and trade... hasn't happend... and a lot of people think it was a good idea.

It hasn't happened because Obama managed to blow all the goodwill he had ramming health care down the throats of people who did not want it. His position on it is fringe though, not moderate. That is because most people, which is more than a lot, know it is a bad idea.
