Pfffft...The republicans want to head off the cuts to the pentagon budget every bit as much as the lolberals want to save their socialistic welfare state spending...The sequester cuts both.

Doesn't matter if the gubmint got $20 trillion a year, they'd find ways to piss it away.

Obama is correct. 65% said they favor raising taxes and cutting spending.
He's got the mandate AND the approaching cliff.
Tax hiles are coming one way or another.
The Bohner boys will decide whether they'll cushion the blow or whether it's gonna be full force trauma. If they choose the cliff over compromise - folks won't forget it and the GOP will be lucky to elect a dog catcher in Alabama. If they choose compromise (like they should have years ago), folks will begin to erase the image of the GOP as just a bunch of angry old white guys.
