For christs sake.

The Prez doesn't control the purse strings. The CONGRESS does. The Clowns in Congress decide where and how to spend the money.

The first 6 years of Bush's Presidency the economy was great as shown by those Stats. The last 2 years it was going downhill fast. The Congress, Dems and Reps, were all spending like drunken sailors and Freddie and Fannie were putting any and all in a house. This all came to roost when the piper had to be payed. Hence the collapse. Bush approved the first bail out but Barry Boy approved the second so guess they can split the difference on that fiasco.

BTW I don't think Bush ever veto'd anything when he was Prez.

Yet the unemployment remained around or lower than 5% all those years, until after the democrats took over congress again.....

Republicans controlled both houses of congress:

108th and 109th


WOW 17 to 6 yet the Republicans fucked up the country????? The numbers speak differently.

And that is of course simply since 1945, and there were 5 whole times where the house and senate were split.
