Obama admits he's Not ready

How many years was Bush govr of Texas? Four? How many years has Obama been a Senator? Four?? To be fair, if we were going use that example, you could say the experience issue has been an unmitigated disaster as far as Bush is concerned....

Bush was governor of Texas 6 years when he ran for President in 2000 and Obama has been a Senator for just 20 months -won't be 2 years until Jan. Palin has been governor for the exact same length of time -20 months. Compare the accomplishments of each during that exact same time period -and remember, she also had a baby while doing all that.

But this is what is important. The job of Senator (even if he had accomplished a darn thing as Senator, which he has not) -in NO way prepares someone for an Executive office, much less THE most powerful executive office of all. The jobs require totally different skills and I have seen NOTHING that tells me Obama has the proper skills for EITHER job after just 20 months because he's done NOTHING during that time except use it as a stepping stone for President. He is unqualified. I was disgusted to see that Obama picked another Senator for his running mate. This election has THREE people from the one Congress with THE lowest approval ratings since they started keeping track of approval ratings! And since Democrats control both houses -gee, who do you think is really getting those historically low approval ratings? Anyone with any common sense would go for the ticket with the most distance from this Congress.

The job of governor is the 2nd highest executive office in this country and the office of mayor is the 3rd highest elected executive office. The skills required for an executive office are the same ones needed for the next highest executive office. And Palin has held 2 out of 3 of the highest elected executive offices in the country. It was no fluke that she was popular as mayor, she proved she had the skills for that executive office - and it certainly is not fluke that she is the most popular governor in the country among governors' own constituents -it is reaffirmation of her executive skills. It is an indication this woman is VERY skilled in an executive office. The office of governor is considered to be THE natural stepping stone to President -not Senator. Which is why so many former governors end up as President and why so many running for the nomination of their own part -are governors! Some of our worst Presidents were former Senators and all because being a popular or even very good Senator -doesn't mean crap when it comes to being a good executive! Anyone disparaging Palin because she is governor of Alaska instead of some densely populated eastern state are likely to be Democrats. But get real here -Clinton was governor of ARKANSAS when he ran for President. Which isn't really considered the Paris of the New World in anyone's book either, is it? It was the fact it was the 2nd highest executive office in the country -not the particular state -that made him qualified for President.

But why do people keep comparing Palin's qualifications to be VP with Obama's to be PRESIDENT! No one is comparing Palin's qualifications with Biden -because they know she has him beat by a mile there -and realize she does when it comes to Obama as well which is why the Democrats act as if Obama is running against Palin and have been attacking her nonstop. She really is a far more legitimate candidate for either VP or President than Hillary Clinton was -and they know it.

Yeah sure she might end up as President if McCain kicks the bucket, but considering the fact his mother is still kicking ass at 96 and still doesn't look like she's anywhere close to calling it quits yet, I don't expect McCain to die before she does. And even if Palin were to end up as President -she still has more qualifications for that job than Obama does right this minute -and will have that much more once she is VP. And already is more qualified than Biden. Because the skills necessary to be a successful Senator are NOT the same ones needed to be a successful President.

Obama has NOTHING. He was a state legislator (big whoop) in Illinois thanks to the Chicago political machine that got him the job and has NO accomplishments at all as either a state senator or as Senator (an office he ran for essentially unopposed) - much less ones his opponents can try and claim belong to someone else as they keep doing with Palin. He is THE most unqualified guy to run for President in at least a century. Seriously. And the last guy who ran for President from a major party who was this unqualified -didn't win either.

Obama majored in political science and international relations at Columbia University. He went on to Harvard Law School where he was president of the Harvard Law Review. He has been a legislator for eleven years. He is on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee which means that he has been getting top secret CIA briefings for years. He had the good judgement to be against the invasion of Iraq when almost all U.S. politicians were in favor of it. His three main priorities for America are getting out of Iraq, universal healthcare, and American energy independence.
These happen to be my top priorities as well. He is bright, charismatic, and well spoken. He has met with almost all the leaders of the Middle East and Europe and been well received. His is in good health and unlike John McCain and Palin, Obama speaks to the press on a regular basis. Why? Because he is not 72 years old and taking 5 different medications or a former sportscaster who know nothing about foreign policy.
