Obama..$4.89 a gallon..Gasoline

....and the regular is $4.69 for a gallon, in my little California town.

I'm thinking Obama just might not be all that secure in California after all..:dunno:

Soon you'll have "high speed rail" :clap2:

The soaring prices are apparently unique to California and come as a result of cutback in supply from refinery problems. There was a power failure at Exxon Mobil's Torrance refinery. A Chevron oil pipeline was shut down last month, and a Richmond, Calif. plant is operating at reduced capacity after a fire in August.

Gas prices jump 9 cents per gallon overnight; CA drivers upset | abc7.com

How does that explain the high gas prices, and how long they have been that way?

Well, 24 cents in a week around here is still a shock.

....and $ 4.89 a gallon (around $80.00 to fill up) is liberal government mismanagement and highway robbery in my opinion.

It is because of California's Environmental Regs that require a specific blend of gasoline. So if there are issues with the refineries that service california, they cannot easily just switch to another supplier, as that supplier probably does not make the required blend.

All the state government would have to do is temporarily suspend the blend requirements, and they could go back on the market to meet the supply requirements.

The price of gas at the pump and oil for the furnace IS being manipilated by big capital.

It was under BUSH II, too.

No POTUS can really do much about that, either.
