I agree that the verdict was rendered partially because of the threat of violence by an ethnic minority OJ did his best to distance himself from, and in no way represented. OJ was a "white man's hero" -- a product of 1970's NFL.

Society has not allowed OJ to get away with anything. Police/prosecutorial misconduct and incompetence did more to allow his being found not guilty than anything. He got off LEGALLY.

Society has ostricized him. Any gains he has made since them have been based on his notoriety and the sick, twisted people that support such crap. This book and upcoming TV show are just two examples.
