Well what were they publishing all these years? You can't make this up.
Should The Times Be a Truth Vigilante? | The Public Editor - NYTimes.com
I’m looking for reader input on whether and when New York Times news reporters should challenge “facts” that are asserted by newsmakers they write about.
As an Op-Ed columnist, Mr. Krugman clearly has the freedom to call out what he thinks is a lie. My question for readers is: should news reporters do the same?
"Should we question what leaders say or just be good little stenographers? Cause you know, we don't know if we really should or how that'll affect circulation"

Oh Lordy! :D

Cenk Uygur at RT get's it right:
Cenk Uygur rips New York Times over ‘truth vigilante’ column | The Raw Story
“When should you challenge it? How about every freaking time! What do you think your job is?"

If anyone is still actually reading the New York Times, you can bet its not to get the truth.

I guess they saw how well FOX is doing and wondered if Americans were really interested in hearing the truth. Making things up works for FOX. If you've got a problem with that, I guess you just hate capitalism. If it sells, that's the bottom line, right(pun intended)?
