Gov Cuomo's action puts BDS in its proper perspective. The push-back has begun:

Gov. Cuomo: NY Must Divest Funds Linked to Israel Boycotts

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Sunday issued the first executive order in the country that forces state entities to drop investments linked to boycotts of Israel...

The Democratic governor expects state agencies to divest all public funds from any company or individual with ties to the movement known as Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions...

Cuomo says New York will boycott anyone who is boycotting Israel.

"This order sends the message that this state will do everything in its power to end this hateful, intolerant campaign," the governor said...

Based on the governor's action, state officials must now compile a list of businesses and groups engaged in any "boycott, divestment or sanctions targeting Israel, directly or through a parent or subsidiary."

This was also common when organizations divested in Apartheid South Africa. It is progressing as expected.
This is one of the many reasons first world western nations won't invest in the apartheid Islamist nations.

It takes decades, but the supporters of oppressive regimes, like the Israeli regime, eventually admit to their mistake:
Sir John Major: Margaret Thatcher's government was wrong to oppose

Of course, Israel has absolutely nothing in common with S. African apartheid, rendering your responses another lame attempt to derail and obscure the obvious. BDS has been exposed for what it has always been:

"This order sends the message that this state will do everything in its power to end this hateful, intolerant campaign," the governor said.

Expect other honest, rational states and countries to follow NY's lead.

Exactly the same situation. Apartheid South Africa and Israel.

Yikes, looks like Monty ole bean is just embarrassing himself right and left.

So lets see if I have this strait Numbskull, Investment dollars in Israel are overflowing the banks but you want us to believe this phony divestment scheme is working. LMAO.

I cant help but notice you oft repeat the same ole failed argument. Or ignore simple fact, like investment dollars flooding into Israel.

Good luck with that...

A leading constitutional rights attorney calls the action "21st century McCarthyism."

Baher Azmy, the legal director of the New York-based nonprofit Center for Constitutional Rights, said that with the executive order, Cuomo bypassed the state legislature and what Azmy called "the possibility of a bona fide debate on the American tradition of boycotting in support of social justice."

In addition, Cuomo's action violates the First Amendment protection of free speech, Azmy said.

"Cuomo's action has the ugliest attributes of McCarthyism: identifying organizations that engage in speech we dislike and, 'Let's blacklist them,'" said Azmy. "This is a well-orchestrated, well-funded, organized strategy to disproportionately punish U.S.-based activists. Really ugly." (from the OP link)

montelatici, et al,

This is called "political backlash;" from overplaying their hand and trying to use BSD as a form of economic coercion. The people of New York know what street bullies are, and can recognize that trait in the Arab Palestinians claiming to be victims.

This was also common when organizations divested in Apartheid South Africa. It is progressing as expected.
(COMMENT)

And many are beginning to recognize that the Arab-Palestinians are a bunch of "posers;" attempting to leach themselves to the reputation --- imitating true patriotic freedom fighters, and real anti-segregationists in the old Apartheid movement.

Most Respectfully,

Well, good luck with that.

BDS and the First Amendment

As part of its public relations campaign to lure unwitting American citizens into supporting unlawful activity, the BDS movement, through affiliated groups, has published a number of quasi-legal memoranda that wrongfully portray BDS support as being absolutely protected by the First Amendment. In a recently published analysis, The Lawfare Project effectively exposed the flawed and misleading BDS legal claims as they relate to New York State law. Lawfare’s analysis also touched on the Constitutional issues that are involved, which are discussed in greater detail herein.

LINKS to apartheid in Israel them freddy, and not what is happening to the terrorists in gaza and the west bank.

Racism and incitement to violence are not free speech. In the UK we have laws that draw the lines

Yeah ... I'm shocked that Baher Azmy is unhappy with NY's decision to - according to Gov Cuomo - "boycott anyone who is boycotting Israel."

Evidently Azmy doesn't understand that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander.

His Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) is ostensibly a domestic org but also represents the rights of 1 foreign people ... the so-called "Palestinians," despite the monstrously foul human rights violations so common among the Mideast's Islamic states.

From CCR's website:
"has long challenged impunity for the Israeli government’s violations of international law related to its illegal occupation of Palestine," (Palestinian Solidarity).

Winning while loosing, progressing while going backwards.

"Everything going as expected". Ha ha ha!

BDS is dying a miserable death. Most universities, and US state and local govt.'s are banning BDS. Very soon Muslims will take it off its life support and come up with a new name for an antisemtic organization supported by terrorist groups who's goal is the destruction of Israel.

Your Israeli propaganda site, The Illegality of BDS in New York State: Response to Frivolous Arguments of Palestine Legal and the Center for Constitutional Rights | The Lawfare Project bases its argument on false premise.

The BDS movement and actions taken in furtherance thereof are widely viewed as thinly veiled manifestations of anti-Semitism. That is, BDS is understood to be based more on animus toward Jews, Israel, and the Jewish state rather than on any legitimate interest in rectifying the plight of an Arab people. This is apparent from the BDS movement’s singular focus on Israel, the only democratic country in a sea of dictatorial Islamist regimes.

They talk about discrimination based on the protected status of religion calling BDS antisemitic when that is not true at all. BDS has nothing to do with religion. It is strictly about discriminatory government policy.

Israel is not singled out. BDS is a Palestinian call to end occupation. Israel occupies Palestine. Palestine is not occupied by Saudi Arabia, North Korea, or any of the other countries Israel uses to deflect the issues.

Don't worry, Europe will take up the slack:

"BDS spreading like wildfire in Europe

06.07.2016

A lack of US-style resistance to the growing BDS movement in Europe has ignited a worrisome trend across the continent.

European Affairs: BDS spreading like wildfire in Europe?

Again do you have a more recent article showing the BDS spreading like wildfire among Muslim invaders of Europe? Your article is from March, and the OP is as of June showing the "results", which are record investments in Israel and the economy booming. In other words, EPIC FAIL.

Failing and going backwards is according to the plan? Here's to more BDS "victories"! Ha ha.
