A) They elected a more conservative democrat than the Rep. who held it b4 him.
b) hoffman entered late and under nearly unheard of ticket and still polled exceptionally well.
c) Had Scozzawomen not been on the ticket he more than likely would have won
d) Who cares about a seat in NY 23 when we got the GOV. OF NJ!! forget Virginia your right, but NJ is a big loss for fellow demoliberals.
F) Your right he didnt have senators endorsements... he just had THE PRESIDENTS!!
G) Also had fundraisers from people like Joe BIDEN (VP) and Obama (P)

Fortunately I have an excellent compass to sort through all the conservative spin and bullshit - my girlfriend is a conservative, but she tells me the truth.

Contrary to all the pretense and phoney rationalization going on around here, conservatives are devastated at the loss in NY23. They got coldcocked big time, this is an embarassment of Biblical proportions for the Palin/teabag/Limbaugh/Hannity crowd, and anything they say to the contrary is pure bluff.

Congressman Bill Owens (D - NY), who was just sworn in yesterday, gave a floor speech this evening announcing that he would vote "yes" on the House health care bill known as H.R. 3962. Mr. Owens is the new congressman from New York's 23rd District. He beat out Conservative Doug Hoffman for the seat after Republican candidate Dede Scozzafava dropped out of the race and endorsed Mr. Owens.

Bill Owens continues to blows off press questions on health care vote

A spokesman for Congressman Owens stated the following:

Mr. Owens has recanted his solid positions on the following; he now supports the public option in the Health Reform bill; he will support cutting Medicare benefits; he supports taxing health care benefits; and will support increased taxes on the middle class.

Looks like Owens didn't waste any time.
