Number Of Americans On Food Stamps Plummets By Nearly 1.5 Million Since Trump Took Office

For 40 years I have worked, no matter who was president and who wasn't...No matter if it be a recession or a boom, I've worked.....Now is just as good a time as any to work...Welfare, don't need it if you work....Trump, whether he is or was president don't mean shit...People work....Welfare is controlled by the states and they are the ones responsible for kicking folks off of welfare, not the feds....So you sycophants will need something better to mentally masturbate about your leader....

Oh and btw, haven't the RW'ers told us ONE MILLION TIMES that the economy can never do well

1. unless Obamacare was repealed?

and

2. unless we got a massive tax cut?

lol, so who looks stupid now...?

Between May 2015 and May 2016 2 million people were off food stamps.

It is a continuing trend. Set in motion by the "Deliberative" President Obama.

To be fair, the "Oral Diarrhea" President Trump hasn't done anything to fuck up that trend yet has he?

Y'all are amazing. Everybody shouts, yells, and stamps their feet ... but nobody bothers to actually look into the situation. It's called 'research', people! Try it some time.

Newsweek says the drop is because of the increase in jobs, the growth in the economy, and states removing waivers to the three month limit. - all directly attributable to the Trump economic maneuvering.

The number of people on food stamps is falling. Here's why

Time for a reality check:

Trump inherited a growing economy and has not made any real policy changes to alter it's trajectory. Foodstamp use is consequence of that trajectory, not Trump's presidency. We could have had ham sandwich as a president and food stamp use would be expected to drop just about the same.

You mean they may have to actually...

Get a job?

The horror.

I'm appalled.

Disgusted.
Get a job? Has your coal job come back yet, Trump sheep?
Lowest jobless claims since 1973.
Still not tired of winning.

Trump's not winning. His approval is at 38%. In this economic environment any president that was getting credit for it would have an approval around 50% or better.

The joke's on you.
Back to this thread again? Really pisses you off that so many can now provide for themselves.

You're now running away from trying to credit this to Trump? lol, coward.
Since Trump was to blame for last months jobs report he is surely to blame for this.

Job growth has been slightly slowed under Trump than under Obama.

Here is the reality: Trump inherited a growing economy and has not made any real policy changes to alter it's trajectory. Foodstamp use is consequence of that trajectory, not Trump.
Is that why jobless claims are the lowest since 1973?

We are in an expansion phase of the business cycle that started 8 years ago. Learn some economics.

Yes.

Falling jobless claims is an 8 year trend under Obama and you think it was something about just-got-into-office Trump that caused it?

Just think where it's going to be as soon as those happen ....

Naw, the economy is influenced by an incredibly complex mix of factors, from foreign currencies to changes in productivity/technology, from oil prices to domestic/global Federal Reserve/Central Bank actions. Yes, policy changes are part of the mix, but they also have ripple effects that can be felt for years. So to give credit or blame to a President in any short term is nothing more than politics.

A President doesn't create a good economy--the private sector does. All government can do is make it more or less inviting for the private sector to produce and create jobs.

Our economy started to get moving after the drastic drop in fuel prices. Families found new money with savings anywhere from $50.00 to several hundred dollars a month. Thats all disposal income. When people have extra money, they spend it in many cases. And we owe our great fuel prices to fracking which DumBama and the Democrats despise. Left to them, our gasoline would be $5.00 a gallon today and the push for alternative fuel vehicles never stronger.

Pray tell... to what do you attribute this drop in the welfare rolls?

1.5 million more people with jobs?

1.5 million more people stripped off the rolls whether they were able to work or not?

What brilliant Trumpian Economic Strategy was employed to give all 1.5 million of them jobs?

I mean... specifically... in the singular or in the plural.

Which regulation(s), once lifted, allowed for this increase in jobs?

And, do you have quantification(s), indicating that the lifting of A created X jobs, and that the lifting of B created Y jobs?

You're still blowing smoke, without the details.

Who said anything about welfare? This is SNAP, or "Food Stamps" as they were called at one time and still are!

Coal miners went back to work in several places. That's one.

For others, I guess we will have to do a detailed analysis.

The fact remains more people are working now, except me that is!
