Back 'n forth and commentary by Steve Sailer of The American Conservative: http://isteve.blogspot.com/2006/02/your-base-jpod-model-does-not-come.html Just funny reading. John Podhoretz and Tamar Jacoby aren't conservatives in the slightest, but if you haven't gotten that, you're way behind. J-Pod: HAVING BEEN BOOED RECENTLY... [John Podhoretz] ...when the subject was immigration, Mark, I assure you that I wasn't dishing anything out at the time. I said merely what I feel deeply -- which is that, as a Jew, I have great difficulty supporting a blanket policy of immigration restriction because of what happened to the Jewish people after 1924 and the unwillingness of the United States to take Jews in. That didn't seem to me to be deserving of boos. But I got 'em, and I took 'em. Right, John, because the best way to analyze what's good for America is to think in terms of what's good for the Jews, first, last and always.
