Safe storage of guns is great.... using it to turn law abiding gun owners into criminals is fucking stupid. You want another financial means to increase the cost of gun ownership because once you get safe storage laws, you will increase the standards on what is considered "safe storage" to the point normal people won't be able to easily afford the safes you want....and also, it is UnConstitutional to mandate keeping guns in a way that makes them inaccessible for self defense...see D.C v Heller.....

then you plan on making it a crime punishable with fines and jail time for law abiding gun owners who don't follow your demands for safe storage...

And of the gun deaths in this country, how many would be stopped? considering 22.923 were gun suicides, which means the owner could simply open the safe and get the gun, and gun murder 11,004 which means the criminals won't obey your laws....

If 75% of firearms related fatalities in Seattle are suicides it seems to me that the uber liberal establishment in Seattle needs to focus on mental health.

The #1 priority in this country concerning mental health is to have this president evaluated ASAP.

It's not the job of the Government to correct poor parenting. If it were, we would have overflowing special homes for children where the state raises all the children.
