NRA spits on the graves of Newtown massacre victims with release of mobile shoot-'em-up app for iPhone, iPad

National Rifle Association launched free game that could allow children to play target practice and pay to unlock more powerful weapons, including an assault weapon like the one used by Adam Lanza to kill 20 children and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14.

Ready, aim, misfire!

Exactly one month after the Newtown school massacre, the National Rifle Association has launched a free iPhone and iPad shooting game offering kids as young as 4 a chance to fire guns at coffin-shaped targets.

MAYOR MICHAEL BLOOMBERG OUTLINES GUN CONTROL PLAN ONE MONTH AFTER NEWTOWN

LUPICA: TAKE ACTION ON GUN CONTROL BEFORE MOMENT IS LOST

The free game “NRA: Practice Range” is offered on iTunes and allows would-be snipers to choose a weapon to fire at an indoor gun range, an outdoor range or for skeet shooting practice.

If this is what they want........

Standing up for our right to bear arms is spitting on the criminals we choose to defend ourselves against.

To even suggest that the NRA doesn't care about those children is a new low from the left. How can anyone take this crap seriously?

I am for the good guys being armed and sincerely wish that one of the teachers or principal at that school had a gun in their car that they could have retrieved and shot the son of a bitch who was there to murder children. As it was, they were in a gun free zone, so no law abiding citizen chose to break the law. It left them all completely helpless.

Laws will only affect those who would actually go to the rescue of people in danger. The people who put them in danger don't give a shit about the laws.

While Hollywood makes movies that look so real when bad guys randomly murder people, you are going to actually pick on a little video game that has symbols. Get real. And the only difference is that one side is liberal and the other side isn't. When you judge by party instead of common sense, you sound like a moron.

Debunked this stupid shit yesterday.

iTunes rated it suitable for all ages 4 and up...not the NRA.
The “NRA: Practice Range” app seeks to provide “one-touch access to NRA network of news, laws, facts, knowledge safety tips, education materials and online resources.”

The app, among other things, instructs shooters to always “use only the correct ammunition for your gun” and “never use alcohol or drugs before or while shooting.”
The 3D shooting game included in the app lets users take aim in a virtual gun range.

The game is not violent and does not involve the shooting of human targets — a change of pace from many video games released these days.

Because it contains “no objectionable material,” iTunes lists the app as appropriate for everyone over 4-years-old.

Before you ask, iTunes rated the app.

How iTunes ratings are issued:
When you go to submit your app through iTunes Connect, one of the steps takes you to a ratings matrix that you must fill out. This contains 10 questions listed under “Apple Content Descriptions.” For each of the 10 questions you must say “None”, “Infrequent/Mild”, or “Frequent/Intense.”

Depending on what answer you give for each of these, the rating of your app in the upper right corner will change. These ratings go from “4+” to “9+” to “12+” to “17+” to “No Rating.”

Controversial NRA App Rating Is Now 12+

In a letter to the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre and Apple CEO Tim Cook Tuesday, Sen. Chris Murphy criticized them for “horrible timing” and called on them to change the rating on NRA: Practice Range, an app released Sunday that lets users fire with 9 different firearms, including military-style weapons like M-16s and AK-47s.

The app was initially rated 4+, according to several media reports, and Murphy
spokesman Ben Marter, who has a screenshot from this morning showing the rating as 4+.

The rating is now 12+:

Obama is placing a podium and teleprompter on the graves. That beat's the NRA's alleged "grave spitting" by a mile.
