A couple of weeks ago, I arrived at work half an hour later than usual, because the buses had stopped running. The rather unusual reason? Several columns of around 15 or 20 tractors each, honking their horns and spewing their exhaust fumes, had taken over and blocked the often quite narrow streets of central Berlin. The chipboard panels on the tractors all conveyed roughly the same message: ‘Farmers feed you’, or ‘Without us, you would be hungry, naked, sober’.

This was the ‘national farmers’ protest’ – a protest against the federal government’s new agriculture package, which will further limit the use of insecticides, weed killers and other animal- and plant-protection products.

Heading towards Brandenburg Gate, to check out the main rally, I quickly got a sense of the size of the protest. Alongside tractors, there were semi-trailer trucks, livestock transporters and pickups. The organisers later said that around 40,000 farmers and 8,600 tractors had come to Berlin to take part.

Socialism is failing all over the world....and look at us!...a Trump led economy is the envy of the planet....we are so fortunate to be living in America today...

Greatest wealth disparity in US history.
The US is more than California, and New York; much to your Electoral dismay...
No hon, the nation, look into it some.

"The Gini score of the United States, one of the most unequal countries, is about 0.81, while that of Slovakia is about 0.48."

Socialism has failed everywhere it has ever been tried. Europe is married to it and it's dragging them off the cliff; Trump is trying to save us from it and the Democrats are fighting tooth and nail to run with the Europeans instead!

Are the farmers there bought and paid for on a whole by the banksters like here? Most large farmers have so much debt they can never pay it off and many never plan on it. Or they have sold out shares to be corporate farmers. Its a racket where the top 1% get a cut of it all and dictate how and what everyone else will eat and how they will live; and most definitely a lot of people will probably go hungry when the racketeering stops because many don't even know how to cook rice or a pot of beans these days.

What does this have to do with Socialism?
What does socialism failing have to do with socialism?.....is that a serious question?....

Answer my question.

Or can't you?
What question?...what does socialism have to do with its failing?....the answer is in the question...

It bailed out Wall Street banksters and your beloved "job creator" class, most recently in 2007-08. Capitalism in the US is propped up via socialism all the time. Hell, we fund stadiums and cathedrals for pro sports team owner/oligarchs with socialism.

The EU, which is funded by the tax payers, gives out larger subsidies to the farmers with more land. Thus putting the small farmer out of business. This is what the latest protest is about.

They have basically done and are still doing the same thing here. Its total bullshit and people vote the same people back in year after year that just repeat it all and nothing is actually done to help the small privately owned operators. There are only a few around here that actually own their own land free and clear, are not in government programs and are not in big debt here. It is a shame. I grew a crop once on the land here and determined it was all a sham back then. After that What grows grows and if it gets cut for hay so be and if it doesn't well so be that too.
