Now Media Can Tell Us The Truth About ObamaCare Costs

We have the #1 healthcare system in the world. And that is indisputable. We have the best and brightest doctors and nurses, the best technology, and the most cutting edge techniques.

Actualy, it's very much in dispute. The World Heath Organization actually rate FRANCE as having the world's best health care system.

World Health Organization ranking of health systems - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The US comes in #38 out of 191 countries. Not only are we behind all other G-7 countries, including France, Japan, Germany, and Canada, but we are even behind some third world countries like Chile and Argentina.

Hey, we are also behind Israel. Kind of nice to see that we are subsidizing "Communist" socialized medicine. Just not in this country.

As usual, you cite unrelated issues to back up your radical communist ideology.

As usual, you think screaming "communist" is a valid argument.

Our life expectancy has nothing to do with our healthcare system and everything to do with our abundance of food, our lack of exercising, and our busy lifestyle's leading to large volumes of fast food. We are an obese nation thanks to our surplus of food (created by capitalism, stupid). That has nothing to do with our healthcare system.

Uh, you really think that these other wealthy G-7 countries (which all rated higher on the WHO survey) don't also have plenty of food.

So Capitalism is causing unhealthy obesity? Why do you support such a system?

Likewise, our infant mortality rate has to do with asshole liberals shooting up with heroin while pregnant, doing coke while pregnant, smoking while pregnant, being drunk 24x7 while pregnant, and having their partners beat the shit out of them while pregnant. What do you want the doctors to do when the babies are beaten to death in the womb before they even arrive at the hospital?

Man, how is it that you guys can't go five minutes without blaming minorities for problems you've had ample oppurtunities to fix and haven't bothered?

Frankly, that we have all these problems is an indication that we don't have a good system. But lack of access to health care- (Addictions are a medical problem, not a criminal one) is a large part of that.

How is it "cheaper" simply because the government refuses to pay what the service costs? That's like me stealing Windows from Microsoft, pirating copies, and the claiming I've found a way to make Windows "cheaper". When you refuse to pay the full cost for an item, but the business has no recourse because you are the government, you haven't made anything cheaper - you've just used force to steal the product and/or service.

or you've just charged what the product is actually worth. Frankly, if you want to use computer software as your model, you kind of make the point. What companies charge isn't anywhere NEAR what it costs to produce. Same with medical services. There's a reason why all these doctors have yachts and mansions and big offices. It isn't because of the value of the care they are providing, it's because in a "capitalist" system, they can and will charge as much as they think they can get out of you. You'd pay anything to make yourself or your loved one better. It falls to the government or insurance companies to put a limit to it.

[

Furthermore, their refusal to pay has caused tons of physicians to refuse Medicare patients and only accept private insurance patients.

Simple enough solution. YOu refuse Medicare Patients, we yank your medical license. You only get it back by working in a charity clinic for one year.

Yeah - great system Joe. This is what happens when the government gets involved... you can't even find a doctor to treat you. Just another form of he death panels I guess. The government has an endless array of tactics to get you off their books by ensuring your death.

Yet, people on Medicare report a much higher satisfaction rate than people on private plans...

Now why is that?

Now Media Can Tell Us The Truth About ObamaCare Costs

the media?!

The mainstream media couldn't find its ass with both hands unless some official told them where to find it and what it looks like.

Rising Costs: How often did the president promise the Democrats' health care reform would bend the spending curve downward? Now the media that've coddled him for years are finally talking about ObamaCare's costs.

The media that endorsed ObamaCare as a cost-control watershed are now beginning to actually report on its effects. Over the weekend, the New York Times noted that "health insurance companies across the country are seeking and winning double-digit increases in premiums for some customers, even though one of the biggest objectives of the Obama administration's health care law was to stem the rapid rise in insurance costs for consumers."

Media Finally Acknowledge ObamaCare Pushes The Cost Curve Upward - Investors.com

For some customers--mostly individual plans.

**Your boss / your company can shop around for better rates.

**when the insurance exchanges kick in, rates will become more competitive.

**insurance companies are just gouging you while they still can.

**don't blame Obama, blame greed.

**rates will go down when uninsured individuals are required to buy basic coverage.

**keep in mind, it was the GOP that shit on the Public Option because it was a "trojan horse".

Health Insurance companies are the middle men, they innovate NOTHING, the provide NO health care services or procedures. They are the airline that raises the ticket price when you're already in the air, or the retailer that makes you pay before you come in the store and limits your shopping to only those items they believe you need. Health Insurance companies are a broken and backwards business model and the only way to keep them ethical is to regulate them. Obama made the mistake of inviting them to ACA table and letting them dictate the terms. Keep in mind, health insurance companies don't develop new products and therefore have no R&D expenses, no transport costs, no factory overhead. The market is dominated by several big names, no competition from the little operator. They insure large groups of people (Group Policies) and charge each member all the same even though only a certain percentage get sick. They play the odds to their advantage and will try to minimize coverage anyway they can.

WOW, same ole song and dance......these libtards will believe anything.. Sure they have no R&D, but now you just put more people on their roles......which means costs go up....dipwad.....how do you not see this????

I love when liberals talk economics....it's like watching them try and make soft science as respected as hard science...in other words hilarious.....

And yeah HAZL we should just get rid of insurance all together right, and just let people pay for their own services.......I'm all for it...are you????

The market is dominated by several big names, no competition from the little operator.

So then people like you should start a tiny little insurance company and compete. Oh, that's right - that sounds a lot like "work" and you liberals don't believe in work. Communism is so much easier, right? Why work when you can lobby government to force other people to share their success with you?

They insure large groups of people (Group Policies) and charge each member all the same even though only a certain percentage get sick.

And it they didn't do that, you'd be the first screaming you're head off that the insurance companies were "exploiting" the sick. This is a prime example of how completely unhinged you liberals are. You throw tantrums like children demand "equal" results for everybody - and then when you actually get equality where everybody carries the same burden regardless of their situation, you demonize the system.... :lmao:

They play the odds to their advantage and will try to minimize coverage anyway they can.

Gasp! You mean they actually "play the odds to their advantage"? How dare they! Every business should know that it is their civic duty to stack the odds against themselves and create a situation where it is highly likely that they go out of business.

Wow, it's fun to watch Poodle go hysterical at the thought of democracy and people voting to fix a bad system.

Guess what, guy, you made 2012 a referendum on ObamaCare, and you lost. Deal with it.

Frankly, I'm tired of watching people die when their insurance companies cheat them so CEO's can get 8 figure salaries...

1. Extreme Costs
The Government Accountability Office now projects that under the most realistic scenario, Obamacare will add $6.2 trillion to the primary deficit over the next 75 years. That’s a staggering figure, especially considering the fact that President Obama pledged in 2009, “I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits—either now or in the future.”

2. False Promises
Remember President Obama’s promise that “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it”? That’s just one of the most famous (or infamous) broken promises of Obamacare. The Congressional Budget Office projects 7 million people will lose their employer-sponsored coverage by 2022 because of the law.

Just like everything else dumbocrats do with their "spread the wealth so we don't have to work" stupidity, the costs are skyrocketing while the quality is nosediving...

Insurers Predict 100%-400% Obamacare Rate Explosion
17 health insurers have concluded premiums will got up 400%

Internal cost estimates from 17 of the nation's largest insurance companies indicate that health insurance premiums will grow an average of 100 percent under Obamacare, and that some will soar more than 400 percent, crushing the administration's goal of affordability.

New regulations, policies, taxes, fees and mandates are the reason for the unexpected "rate shock," according to the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which released a report Monday based on internal documents provided by the insurance companies. The 17 companies include Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Kaiser Foundation.

I think if you read Buttsoiler's posts you'd know exactly what he is talking about. the fact he is restricting himself to the code words here doesn't make up for the times he's been pretty open about his racism.

YOU ARE A FU<<<ING IDIOT!!!

Deal with reality OK???
INSURANCE companies Pay out on average 80% of every dollar in premium in CLAIMS!!! YOU dumb f...k!
IT IS A FACT!

How much do you THINK Aetna pays out in claims as a percent of premiums collected???
FACTS Aetna Reports First-Quarter 2012 Results | Aetna News Hub
In 2012 of every dollar in premium 81.5% went out in CLAIMS!!!
It's called Medical liability ratio.. i.e. how many dollars paid out to dollars coming in!
Revenue $8,864.1m
Net income $511.0m
or 5.7% of gross revenue as profit --- BEFORE THEY PAID FEDERAL INCOME TAXES YOU dummy!!!!

Wellpoint..
WellPoint, Inc | Investor Relations | Press Release
Benefit Expense Ratio: The benefit expense ratio was 87.3 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012,
Total Operating Margin 2.8% of gross revenue as profit --- BEFORE THEY PAID FEDERAL INCOME TAXES YOU dummy!!!!

UnitedHealth care
Summary of UNITEDHEALTH GROUP INC - Yahoo! Finance
Premiums $ 27,274
Medical costs 22,569 82.7% of the premiums went out in CLAIMS you dumb f..k!
Net margin 4.1% --BEFORE THEY PAID FEDERAL INCOME TAXES YOU dummy!!!!

SO YOU DUMMIES out that they keep saying all the insurance companies do is PAY the CLAIM you are right!
BUT YOU DUMMIES also totally ignore the realities which are:
A) The above 3 largest health insurers PAY OUT AN AVERAGE of 83 cents for every $1 in premium! DUMB F...KS why do you suppose they do that if they could make billions more???

STATE INSURANCE regulations !!

B) The 3 largest insurers average NET Profit 4.2% --BEFORE THEY PAID FEDERAL INCOME TAXES YOU dummy!!!!

Now these numbers are REAL not made up not guesses like you idiots do.. but from financial reports that if lied about the auditors,etc.. GO TO JAIL!

Finally MORE realities...

Of the 83 cents paid out by these 3 largest according to the EXPERTS,... i.e. physicians.........
