Now Indiana Democrats Flee State!

So...

the minority party takes advantage of a procedural rule to impede the majority party from committing an act of tyranny by ramming legislation down the people's throats?

I could have sworn the Right, Republicans, and the Tea Party creatures LOVED that sort of thing...

Everyone loves it when thier side uses it, and hates it when the other side uses it.

And how is an elected majority encacting a new law a form of "tyranny"?

Ah, i forget "I don liek it = tyranny", I keep forgetting that.

It comes as no surprise that you would support running away from responsibility....

The irony is that you'd be one of the first to condemn this if the R's were the ones being chickenshit abandonistas...

Running away from home is now a procedural rule?

They all run to Chicagoland because that is the land of their "messiah" and "savior"...

You before:

This is just another case of where the crackpot 60 vote rule in the Senate lets the obstructionist Republicans thwart the will of the people.

Textbook hypocrisy.

If we could get federal democrats including the president to flee the Country they could set up a government in exile. If Obama, Reid and Pelosi to flee the Country they could set up a socialist revolution in the open without worrying about the stigma.

I didn't state my position on the Democrats leaving.

Are you saying you support them AND the GOP filibusters?

The first three letters of ASSumed are?........At least the republicans in D.C. actualy voted for the bulshit bills forced down their throats by the socialist dimwits, they did not run like a bunch of sissies. I say fire them all for dereliction of duty.

Last I heard when your elected to office your there to represent all the people of your State.

i guess in WI and IN if your in the minority you only represent the Union members.

Who knew??

How can you represent everyone when two sides interests are conflicting?

This is still a valid tactic, although not the intended purpose of quorums.

This does, however have a very negagive impact on swing voters. While the Dem Base will be fired up by this, to moderates it makes the dems look like do-nothings, which, as long as the republicans put up viable candidates should help the republicans in the next election.

Not Necessarily. Republicans blocked legislation after Legislation, stayed on message, won big in 2010. Democrats are now doing the same thing.

Moderates want compromise. The democrats want to compromise but Walker does not. To Moderates, that looks like he isn't trying to compromise. Moderates want both parties to work together. Thats why Democrats lost big in 2010. They rarely compromised. While thats great for me, not great for the election. If Walker and Indiana Republicans continue to not compromise, Democrats will win big.

We just need to stay the course, we'll win in Wisconsin.

You should have just taken your "bitch slap" and kept quiet, instead of looking like a buffoon. :eusa_whistle:

If Democrats don't want to do what they were elected to do, then they shouldnt get paid.

I don't see why Democrats seem to think this is a winning strategy. The Dems in Texas did this a few years ago and now Republicans have overwhelming numbers in the State legislature.

If you are going to serve your special interests over the people who elected you, you are going to lose power.

Republicans were fighting in the legislature and the arena of ideas. Democrats arent bothering to show up.

There is no comparison.
