I stopped watching well after Chevy Chase and Steve Martin left the show. Eddie Murphy was awesome in SNL.

I still love this one that Steve Martin did of King Tut.

Steve Martin was never a regular on SNL. He has been one of their most frequent guest hosts.

He was a 'regular' but not a cast member. He has characters that are only his, and made 20 or more appearances as those characters.

Incorrect. Melting pot refers to the rendering of various cultures into one, and THAT'S American culture.

Otherwise, you're talking about white European culture being the dominant culture in America.
