Now Having an 1897 Book on Gen Lee Means You’re a Racist

Read the story. It was more than just having the book on display. It was opened to a page containing offensive, blatantly racist opinions.

While this was possibly an over-reaction by the Govt employees union, the display was grotesque and extremely insensitive.

An apology was in order.

Jefferson had a copy of the Quran too. Therefore he was a Muslim?

Stating tradional marriage is best and all lives matter is offensive to the Left now.

Darwin wrote whites are more advanced than blacks. Yet guess who the Left have no issue with?

Suck it up, buttercups.

Thank you. What I find odd is it was supposedly sitting under a box of military coins, and yet these union members just now happened to notice it in an open lobby where anyone has access and the Congressman knew nothing about it. He has been there for 2 years. I question everything anymore.

It is no breach of law to be grotesque and insensitive. In fact, it was until recently a common expectation in the realm of comedy.

No one expressing a personal opinion should ever apologize because someone else disagrees with it.

Others have an equal right to ostracize those they consider offensive, of course.
