Not sure Republicans understand difference between "capitalism" and "exploitation"

All I will say on this is that no other economic system has raised the standard of living of the proletariat more than capitalism.

That, and the exploitation theory brought to the table by Marx is fatally flawed.

wrong , fettered caplitalism has raised the standard of living of the proletariat.

where unfettered capitalism is being exploited , but sold to the proletariat as the same

China's oligarchy has created ENTERPRISE ZONES where western capital can create factory complexes to exploit the Chinese workers.
--and workers inside these zones are so much better off that their government has had to cordoned them off and turn back 'illegal immigration' from the rest of the population. Communists officials around the world have always accused free enterprise of 'exploiting' people, even while their own have died trying to move into those very areas were 'exploitation' was supposed to be taking place.

Let's face it, "exploitation" is a lie pushed by the left to justify taking power by force.

You ought to listen to the essay about the working condition in Shezen, dude.

THEN you can tell me whether or not you think those working conditions are exploitive.

Exploitation is a function of poor governance, period. Any economic system can be exploited, if humans are involved. It is the gov'ts job to prevent it, or punish those who find a way to do it. And the gov't should do so in an efficient and cost effective manner, without harming the economy any more than necessary.

Let's fast forward here. You're saying that millions are pouring into enterprise zones so they can be worse off? Let's face it, "exploitation" is a lie pushed by the left to justify taking power by force.

yes exactly, China switched to capitalism and now 15 million exploited individuals can afford cars each year whereas that many starved to death under liberalism each year. Again, a liberal is defined as someone who lacks the IQ to understand capitalism.

great point, millions are streaming in from rural farm areas not to be worse off but to be far far better off!! The liberal would have us believe the Chinese are to too stupid to know when the are worse off, and, apparently, that they can't quit if they are worse off.

of course capitalism minimizes exploitation because owners have have to pay the highest wages possible or lose their best workers to those who will pay them the highest wages possible.

No - they just have to maximize profits. In fact, American-style capitalism has little with how much owners pay workers. IN American-style capitalism the CEO is tasked with maximizing shareholder value or else the board will replace him with someone who will.

"American style capitalism" isn't much capitalism at all. It's crony collusion between large industry and government. Otherwise known as CRONY Capitalism. Yet, is sold as true capitalism to the plebs from both sides. Which is why the reactionary socialism that has crept onto the scene, is sold as the reason for the advancement of the "middle class" by the "left".

It isn't capitalism that is to blame for the reason why leftist/socialists advocate their agenda. It's cronyism. But, no one wants to scratch passed the surface. So we all flail around in the same old paradigm.

What makes it worse, is that instead of addressing the true problem, the advocates of socialism just want more of the real problem. Big intrusive, ineffective and oppressive government. Both left and right, actually.

It's possible that the state controlled news sources in both China and the US are pushing this "exploitation" scam to maintain power over the bulk of their populations and also push their Marxist ideology. Thinking people know better though on both sides of the Pacific because actions speak so much louder and clearer than rhetoric.

I never understood how the folks that advocate for Marx ideology could take him serious. The man was a lazy, over educated, son of a bourgeois father that never worked an honest day in his life. His father, and confident, Engels, paid his way almost his entire life. He hardly ever finished writing his own work, and relied on Engels to do it for him. Then there are the incredible flaws with his theorem.

It has shown to be an effective tool used against the commoners and less informed. But it is certainly not a viable economic theory. At all.

I've read a lot of work damning of Marx theorem and its systemic falsehoods, but no book has painted the picture more brilliantly than A Reqiuem for Marx.

When I think of capitalism, I think of something being made and that something being sold, hopefully for a profit.

Can what Romney does, indulging in predatory take over, firing people, selling the assets and making millions be called "capitalism"? I understand this Republican Party has a "make money no matter what the cost or who it screws" attitude. But can you still call that capitalism? If it's not capitalism, then what is it?

You mean like Solyandra or the Chevy Volt?

Deany, what do you call someone who loses $1.3Trillion annually, is he a "Capitalist" or is he exploiting the taxpayers?

yes with our auto companies operating over there its hard to hide the fact that they now buy more cars, for example, than we do. In fact anyone who goes there can see the cars on the streets!!

Its yet another capitalist miracle that the deadly liberals must deny.
