Butler told the judge that “the Bible did not set limits on the ages between two partners, and that God will set the truth free.”

Butler wants to represent himself in court, but it’s not even certain he will be found fit to stand trial. The station reports he has undergone mental evaluation to determine whether he is able. He told the judge that he has faith in the trial outcome.
