Political people in the United States are watching the chaos in Washington in the moment. But some people in the science community are watching the chaos somewhere else — the Arctic.
It’s polar night there now — the sun isn’t rising in much of the Arctic. That’s when the Arctic is supposed to get super-cold, when the sea ice that covers the vast Arctic Ocean is supposed to grow and thicken.
But in fall of 2016 — which has been a zany year for the region, with multiple records set for low levels of monthly sea ice — something is totally off. The Arctic is super-hot, even as a vast area of cold polar air has been displaced over Siberia.

And 10,000 years ago it was Ice free.
Mankind is still around, woolymamoth froze instanly while still chewing on buttercup flowers.
So what?
This is what a live planent does, gets hot, gets cold and has done changes instantly in some cases.
Man will still be here because he has technology to adapt and survive.
No, ten thousand years ago, it was not ice free. When you make such a claim, how about a link? Otherwise, you are just labeled as another liar.

Youre not too smart. Woolly mammoths were by design cold adapated and would die in warm climates.

Didn't say it wasn't still cold.
But not cold enough for them to be eating buttercups.

The presence of the glaciers made it cold. Glaciers are made of ice. You'd be surprised what environments plants can live in.

And the ground had wildflowers that was still in its mouth when they found it and thawed it out.
Suggesting instant frost.

Yea poor Woolly became extint due to humans driving cars causing climate change :(

The woolly mammoth coexisted with early humans, who used its bones and tusks for making art, tools, and dwellings, and the species was also hunted for food. It disappeared from its mainland range at the end of the Pleistocene 10,000 years ago, most likely through climate change and consequent shrinkage of its habitat, hunting by humans, or a combination of the two. Isolated populations survived on St. Paul Island until 5,600 years ago and Wrangel Island until 4,000 years ago. After its extinction, humans continued using its ivory as a raw material, a tradition that continues today.

Thanks for the history lesson but you still miss the point. None of that has anything to do with the claim that mammoths lived in a warm environment free of ice. One doesnt even have to look at the scientific evidence to know that isnt true. Common sense should tell you that.

I am surprised though they lasted all the way up to only 4,000 years ago thought the last one died at least 12,000 years ago.

But my main point was they died out in most part because of climate change..

It always confuses me that the left can never comprehend that...I still dont get why they think they are so special born at the right time and place that the climate will never ever ever change again..but because of man the climate is changing..

Lol that never makes scense to.me.

Of course climates change by natural causes but that doesnt mean humans cannot cause it as well. Evidence of that is the heat islands caused by big cities.

Dude!
You need unfrosted ground for wildflowers to grow.
They don't grow on top of ice walls.
This mammoth was frozen instantly ,was totally encased in ice quickly ,while it was still eating. That's why it was so perfectly preserved.
