Norman Finkelstein interviewed on TV by Jewish, and pro-Zionist host

Having watched the video, I would say that Finklestein has lumped everything together--Golan Heights, West Bank and Gaza War/Hamas and everything is Israel's fault. These problems are separate. The problem now is the PA refusing to return to the bargaining table as long as Israel is building settlements. Mr. Tinmore, why do you approve of Hamas when you say that you want a secular Palesine?

The PA is irrelevant. The peace talks are irrelevant. They will never reach an agreement that would be acceptable to both sides, period. The starting point is already less than acceptable.

That is why Hamas, and almost all the other Palestinian factions, reject the peace talks. It is not that they do not want peace. It is that any agreement will be unacceptable. Abbas has already given away the store. That is why Hamas was elected. They are firm for the rights of their people.

Palestine will not become an "Islamic" state. A poll of Palestinians showed that only about 5% of Palestinians want an Islamic state. Religious laws will never be passed by the PLC.

Totally in fantasy....

Hams will be marginalized by the Arabian people who call themselves Palestinians, in a Democracy?

Which is why they refuse Gaza elections.

What a foolish extension...

They don't have elections in "Gaza." What are you talking about?

Hamas has stated that they will not impose Islamic law because "the people won't have it."

Is this not the way the Jews always take, post extremists on both ends , and control the the debate?

"Belligerent occupation is governed by The Hague Regulations of 1907, as well as by the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, and the customary laws of belligerent occupation.

"Security Council Resolution 1322 (2000), paragraph 3 continued: 'Calls upon Israel, the occupying Power, to abide scrupulously by its legal obligations and its responsibilities under the Fourth Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in a Time of War of 12 August 1949;...'

"Again, the Security Council vote was 14 to 0, becoming obligatory international law.

"The Fourth Geneva Convention applies to the West Bank, to the Gaza Strip, and to the entire City of Jerusalem, in order to protect the Palestinians living there.

"The Palestinian People living in this Palestinian Land are 'protected persons' within the meaning of the Fourth Geneva Convention.

Why is the Jewish state is exempt from international law?

Does it have anything to do with the amount of money being made by a few rich Jews, Christians, and Arabs from arms sales and oil sales?

The International Laws...

"All of their rights are sacred under international law."

Indeed, the maximum Israel is prepared to give is less, than the palisturds' goddamn aspirations, which amount to the same old - murder jooz and "celebrate" their property. Same old arab tribal. Same old.
That is why Hamas was elected.
And they whine and wail about some "collective punishment" for trheir own collective choice.

Well, then we can, retroactively, expect the European Union to return the descendants of about 14 million of germans, thrown out of the Eastern Prussia, Pomerania, Silesia and Sudetenland at the end of the WW2, with their property and homes lost for good.

Fatah sells the Palestinians down the river.

Hamas defends their rights.

Yep.

They should push for their rights like the Palestinian are.

Everything about Hamas turns me off. Their dress, their language, the methods they used to achieve their goals. Their name even means "violence" in Biblical Hebrew, though I don't know what it means in Arabic. Finkelstein referred to Mandela and Gandhi in his interview, and they are antithetical to Hamas.
Fatah are not pawns of Israel and America, because if they were, they wouldn't have resisted American pressure to negogiate with Israel while Israel is still building settlements on the West Bank. By the same token, Fatah would not be pushing the U.N. and individual countries around the world to accept Palestine's unilateral independence, if they were Israel's pawns. Fatah wants Israel to pull out completely from the West Bank by August 2011. Hopefully, Livni will be Israeli Prime Minister by then.
A binational state is not realistic nor practical, and would only result in a civil war between Jews and Arabs. The only solution for real peace is for an Arab state on the West Bank.

Norman Finkelstein has been denied tenure at every college that has employed him, including DePaul Univ. that dismissed Finkelstein for psychological issues.

Finkelstein has been chronically unemployed since his last dismissal  :clap2:
