What a dumb assignment crafted by a dumb, brainwashed teacher. To what end?

These kids are TWELVE years old. They do not have the higher-order thinking skills to answer the kind of ethical questions that have stymied the world's most intelligent, educated philosophers for centuries. Again, this is what gives my profession a very bad name, and once again I read a story that makes me ashamed. ACK

If she wanted to start with a think piece like this, she could have crafted a middle school scenario NOT linked to life and death. Some bullying "what would you do" and then have the kids discuss. Or I don't know. But not "let's decide who lives and dies based on Identity Politics".

She is brainwashed and cannot think outside the boxes they have put her in. Shameful.
