There are arguments on both sides here. All Muslims believe that if your father is a Muslim, you're a Muslim. While Obama's father was indeed born a Muslim, by the time he impregnated Obama's mother, he had renounced Islam in favor of atheism...an act worthy of beheading in some circles. So technically, Obama's father was not a Muslim when Barack was born. Barack therefore skates on a technicality. Not a Muslim at birth and certainly not a practicing Muslim as all those years with Revered Wright show.
