No One Has a Right to Health Care

. Profits over care seems to be what has driven the train far off the rails, so if somehow this nation can seperate profit from life or death situations, we would be much better off. Money should never come between whether or not a human being lives or dies all because of... Period
take away the opportunity for profit and you take away then incentive to work in the field.
Profit drives innovation
. The incentive will remain, but the system will be just set up differently. The basic insurance side of it will be a non-profit, but the provider side of it will remain free market in order to create, motivate, compete, and keep prices in line just as it should be. Now additional insurance can be purchased outside the government plan, in which is how it should be. No government interference between you and your doctor (you will keep your own doctor if you want). You can purchase healthcare from a provider of your choice with your government health card, as long as the provider is legit, and has a good grade with no past history of being a criminal set up or has been involved with fraudulent behavior or etc.

Again , there is NO free market in health care. If the government - coercion --is involved in any way shape or form there is NO free market.

Free Market

In a free economy, where no man or group of men can use physical coercion against anyone, economic power can be achieved only by voluntary means: by the voluntary choice and agreement of all those who participate in the process of production and trade. In a free market, all prices, wages, and profits are determined—not by the arbitrary whim of the rich or of the poor, not by anyone’s “greed” or by anyone’s need—but by the law of supply and demand. The mechanism of a free market reflects and sums up all the economic choices and decisions made by all the participants. Men trade their goods or services by mutual consent to mutual advantage, according to their own independent, uncoerced judgment. A man can grow rich only if he is able to offer better values—better products or services, at a lower price—than others are able to offer.

OK and the free market system is flawed as we have learned over time, and so what is the answer to that ? According to some nothing should be the answer when it does go wrong, but isn't that foolish thinking? Isn't there always room to tweak and correct things that go wrong in order to make it all go better? We should be able to fix things without causing major problems to arise. If we can't then we are fools.
The government has never made anything better, what is it about insurance that makes people think the government is suddenly going to get something right
. It's that the insurance side of this thing is mostly where the problem is. High prices, denials of payments for services, cancelations, shifting cost to government, and on and on it all goes.

we could have an honest discussion on this if you bring up something that you think the government got right.

. Good Lord, the list is so long it ain't funny... Labor laws, civil rights laws, environmental laws, OSHA laws, coal mining safety, and many many more. There are many triumphs on many issues that were fought hard against by greedy CEO's and their rich board members who wanted to pilage and exploit this nation for all it was worth. Well guess what, their are millions living in this nation, and we are not to be exploited by the rich & powerful who would do such a thing without consequence sooner or later, and thank God we have a lever to pull if have too.

Is greed the problem in Canada? Why would a universal health care system, that is supposed to be giving quality of care to those who need it, be found denying treatment to patients?

Anya Martinez has been sick more than half her life, but a U.S. medical trial could be her answer if the money can be found.

Although Canada’s health-care system covers the cost of hospital care, many patients have to foot the bill for prescription drugs themselves. Whether or not prescriptions are covered comes down to age, income and which province you live in.

This means cancer patients who require radiation or intravenous chemotherapy get treatment for free, but those who are prescribed oral cancer drugs may have to pay thousands of dollars.

16×9: Some Canadian patients struggling to pay for cancer treatments

However I found the problem isn't shared by Canada alone.

Patients are being denied mental health care, new hips and knees, and drugs to boost their recovery from illnesses including cancer as the NHS increasingly rations treatments to try to overcome its growing cash crisis.

A survey of doctors reveals that three-quarters said they had seen care rationed in their area over the last year – including treatments such as speech therapy, operations to remove varicose veins, Botox to help children with cerebral palsy move better and even potentially life-saving stem cell transplant surgery.

NHS rationing 'is denying patients care' as cash crisis deepens

Eight thousand cancer patients are likely to have their lives cut short following a decision to withdraw NHS funding for 25 treatments.

Medication which offers a last chance to patients with cancer a year - including those with breast, prostate and bowel disease - will no longer be funded by the NHS, under plans to scale back spending from April.

Would it be fair to say that greed is the problem surrounding these issues with health care?

. If the money is there, and these systems are denying treatments to those who are covered, then it could mean there is corruption, greed or something wrong within the system possibly ? How does the providers get paid by that system ? Is the system all government controlled, where as the providers work for the government or are they free expecting government to pay them ? If they are free, are they charging the government to much ? Not sure what goes on in these systems, but we are not these other countries, and we shouldn't be comparing ourselves to them unless we fear we can't do any better than these other countries no matter what we do. Is this what Trump talks about when he say's we're always losing anymore, and it's time we start winning again ? The problem he figures is not with the other countries, but it is with us.

OK , so you found no evidence that (private) greed affects the delivery of healthcare.

greed
ɡrēd/
noun
  1. intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power,

But we see that greed , which is defined as "intense and selfish desire for ......... power definitely includes the politicians . Corrupt politicians will destroy healthcare because of their greed.

massive unnecessary regulations, medicaid, medicare , are all motivated by the desire for power - in that case greed has ruined healthcare in these US of A.

. Private greed can show up anywhere, and if to many come together in a like minded greedy trendful way, then certainly it can affect the delivery price on anything.

Democrats are liken to a mother whose child goes out to play with the other children, and somehow by fault of the child he gets hurt, well instead of the child going home and dusting off his britches, getting a bandage or two, the mother organizes a huge up heaval to have the playground shut down, the kids all branded as bullies, and gets a judge to make it all happen for her. Everybody loses their freedoms, the kids have no where to play, everyone is branded bullies just so the democrat mom and her son can get vengence on her son coming home with dirt on his knees, and a small cut on his arm....
you forgot to mention how the whole community is forced to pay for the childs new pants and reimburse mom for the time spent taking him to get those new pants.
Might as well throw in lunch for them while they are out shopping.
sounds good to me can we buy our drugs on you dime too???
isnt that what the democrats are already trying to do?
no ... that's the problem... republicans would rather see people die instead of paying one dime for a person to live ...

you know nothing about democrats at all ... you've bee suck the ass of republicans so long you can't even have a thought of your own ... you such, then swallow the shit out the backside of your republican leaders to feed your stupidity
If republicans are so stupid and democrats are so smart, why is it that republicans are able to support themselves and democrats have to depend on handouts.
well, it seems you are in a world of republican stupid ... I support myself, I paid for my health care before obamas care and after obama care .. I paid off my home .. I paid off all my loans ... and yet I'm as liberal as you can be ... so where do you get this its only Dems who need hand outs ... I see republican in business who need a hand out from a small business loan all the time ... if they were so great then why have the gubment help them up ??? I see republicans filing bankruptcy all the time, on the tax payers dime ...so where do you get this its only Dems ... oh thats right you such, then swallow the shit out the backside of your republican leaders to feed your stupidity ... No One Has a Right to Health Care
by Jacob G. Hornberger February 3, 2016

Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders says that everyone has a right to health care. Unfortunately, none of his presidential opponents, Democrat or Republican, is going to challenge him on the point. They’re too scared that they’d lose votes by challenging a standard socialist shibboleth in America.

Sanders’ assertion only goes to show how American socialists (i.e., progressives) have warped and perverted the concept of rights within the minds of the American people. The fact is that no one has a right to health care any more than he has a right to a home, a car, food, spouse, or anything else.

The correct concept of rights was enunciated by Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence, the document that Americans ironically celebrate every Fourth of July. Jefferson observed that people have been endowed with certain unalienable rights, among which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
apparently you didn't listen to hillary speech ... we dems, liberals, latinos, blacks orentals and native americans believe health care is a right ... good luck with the republicans getting reelected if they don't
Speak for yourself, healthcare is not a right. Anyone with any common sense would view as such...
