Mr Obama and the powers that be say that there was no inflation because the cost of Gas went down.

I don't know about all the retirees, but this one doesn't drive very much anymore. I don't have that 15 mile trip to work (one way).

Fact is I can easily go a whole week without starting the car.

The other facts are that we have seen Groceries go up. And I'm certain that the powers that be haven't been in a super market for years.

But what can you do?

Oh yes they are predicting that there won't be any inflation next year either........
But didn't they just print up a bunch of extra dollars?
And doesn't that equal inflation?

I did a recertification on a social security beneficiary the other day and saw my first instance of their benefits being REDUCED. Sometimes they stay the same, year to year, but I've never seen them go down before.

And the insurance companies that contract with the government are bailing. My clients are getting notices right and left that their managed care providers (you know, the ones they MUST choose to be treated) are dropping them, and they have to figure out how to choose another.

My clients are aged and disabled. This is devastating, stressful and terrifying for them.

I like how you buffoons think that there hasn't been a single increase in any prices on and goods or services in the entire country this past year. What you all FAIL to realize is that the cost increases in consumer necessities LIKE FOOD have been offset by decreases in prices in other sectors of the economy.

I'm sure product x went up and product y went down in cost. I have never analyzed the formula used for determining either the SS or Military Retiree COLAs.

Personally I support our retired veterans and have a certain amount of a soft spot for the elderly. If you have a beef with the way the COLAs are calculated and want me or your representatives to vote for an increase use all that beautiful energy finding some stats saying "groceries went up, house prices went down" or similar. Cussing me out is just going to make folks think you're 12 or worse.
