No Kidding - What An Understatement

I'm a Boomer. My kid is uber-successful, and without issues.

It's all those participation trophies, ya know. The high marks for just trying, without knowing the material. The pat on the head for merely showing up.

The Millennials thought they'd really won something each time, their self-esteem swelling with pride, but now that they are in the really real world can't understand why they don't still get trophies for nothing, or great jobs when they can't do anything useful, or even a nice pat on the head.
