North Korea Seen Moving Missile: Report

I'm curious as to why the WH has not said much about this twerp and his threats and I wonder what JFK would have done. I mean, Kim is waving his pudgy little fists but some of his firecrackers MIGHT reach some shores. When is enough, enough?

It was not clear if the missile was mounted with a warhead or whether the North was planning to fire it or was just putting it on display as a show of force, one South Korean government source was quoted as saying.

"South Korean and U.S. intelligence authorities have obtained indications the North has moved an object that appears to be a mid-range missile to the east coast," the source said.

The Musudan missile is believed to have a range of 3,000 km (1,875 miles) or more, which would put all of South Korea and Japan in range and possibly also the U.S. territory of Guam in the Pacific Ocean. North Korea is not believed to have tested these mid-range missiles, according to most independent experts

Not said much? They have been desperately trying to manufacture a new war. And the Leftys are lappping it up.

This little fucker doesn't have the BALLS. He's doing what his father did and that's threatening violence for free shit.

He won't attack a damn thing and he certainly won't nuke anyone. He knows better as that would set off a major war he can't win. The dumb fucker is doing this to feed his population to remain in power!

If I was Obama I'd just laugh at the little prick.

Our side does seems to be scrambling to put defensive weaponry in place -- radar and missile defense arrays. A number of ships closing in around the Korean penninsula.

Kerry has explicitly said this week that we will not "accept" a nuclear North Korea. Well, then, what are we going to do to undo the fact that they are already a nuclear power? His words imply an attack on their reactor factories.

I think we are waiting for Kim to do something first. To start the war. In cases like this both sides want the other to look like the aggressor. Usually, the actual aggressor simply lies, so they can choose their own time. Like Tonkin Gulf or the beginning of World War I when the Germans said the French bombed Nuremberg (they didn't; no 1914 biplanes bombed anything till technology improved later) and had a huge force invading Belgium. But it wasn't the French who invaded Belgium: it was the Germans, marching many hundreds of thousands over the border.

So expect lies from any of the three sides in this conflict.

At this point, I am expecting war.

Anonymous hacked the North Korean Twitter account used for propaganda. It's just coming on the news now. BBC News - Anonymous 'hacks' North Korea social network accounts They have left their markers like the "V" Guy Fawkes mask on the site, which is still up but is showing ---- "unusual content" as the news articles tactfully say, including this:

North Korea says missile test shows all U.S. within striking range
Saturday 29th July, 2017 - North Korea has hailed as a success its latest test of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), describing it as a "stern warning" for the U.S., BBC News reports.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said the test proved that the entire U.S. was within striking range, state media reported. However, experts say many of North Korea's missiles cannot accurately hit targets. The launch came three weeks after North Korea's first ICBM test. The Pentagon said the latest missile was launched at 23:41 (15:41 GMT) from an arms plant in Jagang province in the north of the country. North Korea said the ICBM flew for just over 47 minutes and reached an altitude of 3,724km (2,300 miles).

It is unusual for North Korea to launch a missile at night - the significance is as yet unclear. This is the first missile fired from Jagang province, indicating a previously-unknown launch site is operational. The test was condemned by the U.S. and North Korea's neighbours. U.S. President Donald Trump called it "only the latest reckless and dangerous action by the North Korean regime".

US Bombers Fly Over S. Korea After North's 2nd ICBM Test
30 Jul 2017 -- The B-1 bombers, escorted by South Korean fighters, performed a low pass over an air base near the South Korean capital of Seoul.
The United States flew two supersonic bombers over the Korean Peninsula on Sunday in a show of force against North Korea, following the country's latest intercontinental ballistic missile test. The B-1 bombers were escorted by South Korean fighter jets as they performed a low pass over an air base near the South Korean capital of Seoul, before returning to Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, the U.S. Pacific Air Forces said in a statement.

It said the mission was a response to consecutive ICBM tests by North Korea this month. Analysts say flight data from North Korea's second ICBM test conducted Friday night showed that a broader part of the mainland United States, including Los Angeles and Chicago, is now in range of Pyongyang's weapons. "North Korea remains the most urgent threat to regional stability," Gen. Terrence J. O'Shaughnessy, Pacific Air Forces commander, said. "Diplomacy remains the lead. However, we have a responsibility to our allies and our nation to showcase our unwavering commitment while planning for the worst-case scenario." He added: " If called upon, we are ready to respond with rapid, lethal, and overwhelming force at a time and place of our choosing."

The United States often sends powerful warplanes in times of heightened animosities with North Korea. B-1 bombers have been sent to South Korea for flyovers several times this year in response to North Korea's banned missile tests, and also following the death of a U.S. college student last month after he was released by North Korea. The Hwasong-14 ICBM, which the North first tested on July 4, is the highlight of several new weapons systems Pyongyang launched this year. They include an intermediate range missile the North says is capable of hitting Alaska and Hawaii and a solid-fuel mid-range missile, which analysts say can be fired faster and more secretly than liquid-fuel missiles.

US Conducts 'Successful' THAAD Missile Test
30 Jul 2017 - The THAAD weapon system tracked and intercepted a medium-range ballistic missile launched over the Pacific Ocean.
The U.S. military on Sunday conducted a test of its THAAD missile defense system, two days after North Korea launched its second intercontinental ballistic missile. This test was expected after a warning from the U.S. Coast Guard last week. Earlier this month, the U.S. Missile Defense Agency said it would be conducting two THAAD tests this month from Kodiak, Alaska. This is the second of the two tests.

The test comes as Gen. Terrence J. O'Shaughnessy, U.S. Pacific Air Forces commander, warned North Korea that the U.S. and its allies are prepared to use "rapid, lethal and overwhelming force," if necessary against the rogue nation. "The U.S. Missile Defense Agency and U.S. Army soldiers of the 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade from Fort Bliss, Texas, conducted a successful missile defense test today using the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system," the Missile Defense Agency said in a statement on Sunday.

The Pentagon said that the THAAD missile defense system, shown above, has a perfect test record so far, hitting 15 out of 15 targets.

The target, a medium-range ballistic missile, was launched over the Pacific Ocean and the THAAD weapon system in Kodiak tracked and intercepted it. "In addition to successfully intercepting the target, the data collected will allow MDA to enhance the THAAD weapon system, our modeling and simulation capabilities, and our ability to stay ahead of the evolving threat," MDA Director Lt. Gen. Sam Greaves said. THAAD is used to intercept short- and intermediate-range ballistic missiles. It does not target intercontinental ballistic missiles. The U.S. has a perfect record of launches, hitting 15 out of 15 targets, the Pentagon said.

The latest launch comes in the wake of North Korea's latest ICBM test. Analysts said flight data from the North's second ICBM test, conducted Friday night, showed that a broader part of the mainland United States, including Los Angeles and Chicago, is now in range of Pyongyang's weapons. "North Korea remains the most urgent threat to regional stability," O'Shaughnessy said. "Diplomacy remains the lead. However, we have a responsibility to our allies and our nation to showcase our unwavering commitment while planning for the worst-case scenario."
