Nirvana

Dan is going to love you!

I personally don't care for Nirvana, but they did set the stage for the grunge era.

Yeah, Nirvana first got me into rock music, and they were pretty much my life for a few years. I still like to go back to that music, obviously Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains are some of my favorites, I liked Smashing Pumpkins a lot, too, but I wouldn't classify them as grunge. Isn't it funny that every ten years or so, a band or group of bands come out and bring music back to its basics. Think about it, 60's, you had the Stones, 70's you had punk, 80's... well, I'm not so sure about the 80's, but 90's you had grunge, and now in the 00's (?), bands like the White Stripes are destroying the evil that is nu-metal.

Kurt Cobain had REM'S Automatic For The People on his stereo when he committed suicide

bet you didn't know that

Kurt's grandfather Leland Cobain believes that it was foul play that killed Kurt.
