Boy, the Democrats sure did try to shoot the messenger on this one huh?

The New Hampshire state Senate passed a bill requiring residents to show identification before voting after a well-publicized video showed how easy it is to obtain a ballot in the name of a dead person in the state.

The Union-Leader reports that the legislation passed on Wednesday and now heads to the House.

Conservative filmmaker James O’Keefe produced the bombshell video earlier this year.

Voters in the Granite State are not currently required to present identification to vote.

O’Keefe’s investigators were able to obtain ballots under the names of dead voters at polling locations during the New Hampshire presidential primary, simply by asking for them.

Allow me to beat to the punch those that have no counter argument based in logic or reason:

You're all clearly racist scum. Obviously this law has nothing to do with the integrity of the voting process and everything to do with keeping Black people from voting.

Does that about cover it? I think so.

You may return to discussing issues sans emotionally-based arguments, ad hominem attacks, and red herrings, which pretty much disarms the big gov crowd.

Al Sharpton is marching in Alabama today. He don't want no damn voter ID.

Uh huh. Sure. :cuckoo:

Minnesota has legislation in the process for voter ID. The Democratic Governor (Mark Dayton) and the State Attorney General have suggested an additional means for checking IDs.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dayton and DFL Secretary of State Mark Ritchie want a system that would bring drivers' licenses and state ID pictures from the state Division of Vehicle Services database into each precinct. That would allow most voters to be easily identified, and could be adapted to accept college IDs and to take on-the-spot photos of those who are not in the state system, Ritchie said.

"Our proposal can be in the polling place, this November, almost for free," said Ritchie, who along with Dayton opposes the Republican-backed photo ID proposal. The DFL plan would not depend on voters bringing IDs to the polls, but on the polls having voters' IDs waiting for them.

That concept seems like a good idea, particularly for Senior Citizens who no longer drive and have no need to a picture ID. I'm sure that all of us don't want to disenfranchise any legal voters.

Yep. He is both a bad comedian and a fraud.

Is that why the top lawyers for the NRC dropped their challenge in the long drawn out court battle, where every vote was scrutinized? They wanted Franken to win? Those traitors!

Yup. Voter ID Laws are bad for the Democratic Party, but they're good for the Country.
