NFL draft 2019 tracker Pick by pick analysis of every selection in Round 1

1. Cardinals — Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma: The rumors, misdirection and assumptions can finally be put to bed — after an extra 15 minutes of drama. Murray, who followed Baker Mayfield to the Heisman Trophy stage, also follows him as the top pick of the NFL draft — the first time a school has had quarterbacks go No. 1 in back-to-back years. Murray, who passed for 4,361 yards and 42 TDs last season while running for 1,001 additional yards and 12 scores, should be the ideal fit in new Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury's Air Raid offense and certainly projects as a better match than immobile incumbent Josh Rosen, the Cards' first rounder just last year. With veteran WR Larry Fitzgerald, second-year slot man Christian Kirk and RB David Johnson, this offense is now seeded with decent weapons. Could more be obtained by next trading Rosen? Stay tuned. Fun fact: Murray becomes the first person taken in Round 1 of both the NFL and MLB drafts (the Oakland A's also drafted him).

The Ravens don't seem to have missed a step moving from Newsome to DeCosta. They traded their 22nd spot for #25, got two third rounders for the switch AND still drafted the guy they wanted!

Will be interesting to see how Kyler does. It's a big move for them, but kinda reminds me of the Panthers a few years back.

Clausen wasn't drafted as high as Rosen (48th vs. 10th), but was the 3rd QB picked, and was thought by many to be a top 10 pick (some had him above Bradford who went #1 that year before his toe injury kept him out of the Combine, most had him as a first rounder, and he was invited to the draft).

Year 2 comes along and Carolina has the shot at the top QB with the #1 spot and immdiately puts Clausen (rightly so in hindsight) out and makes him their choice.

If it was any other position that would be crazy, but if you feel you can make a big improvement at the QB position, I think thats where taking a chance for that makes sense.

Most interesting story so far, IMO, is the Giants passing on Haskins and then having to face him twice a year when the Skins take him. Should be fun seeing how that turns out.

Sorry, I can't listen to 30 minutes of some fake woman's artificial monotone voice slowly drone on. You mean these people couldn't get a real guy to give pick by pick analysis with pictures to match the team so we could scan through for the teams we're interested in?
