Next year, Senate Republicans will be defending 24 seats, many of them in states carried by President Obama. The Democrats have only ten to defend.

Juan Williams McConnell misfires in Senate TheHill

No wonder they are freaking out about possibly 19 million losing their much needed health care. I told you "let him die" wasn't a good political strategy.

Democrats would only need 16 to take over an uncontested Senate.

Mitch McConnell will be a one term majority leader

Can't wait for Harry Reid to come back

Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Will just have to wait and see if people want the Dems back in charge and Harry Reid back as speaker.

This is why it is hard to understand the ineptness of Republicans

They will control both houses for only a short two years. This is their chance to actually get their agenda passed. But they seem content to play defense against the Democrats

Reid is retiring. :(

Bummer

Al Franken!

Franken will be lucky to hold onto his seat, much less take McConnells place

Franken was re-elected in 2014 by a large margin

He will make a fine Majority Leader. But honestly, compared to Mitch McConnell, how could he not look good

Right, and Bottleneck Reid has nothing to do with nothing getting done now.

Just like he had nothing to do with nothing getting done before he lost his seat.

Put your hopes on Franken replacing Mitch.

Everyone should have a dream.

Congress has gotten things done in the past, in spite of not having an overwhelming majority. All it takes is a little compromise
If Republicans are willing to give the President one third of what he wants, they could get two thirds of of what they want

But Republicans are content to waste their short period of time running Congress

Lets see...how many repeal Obamacare votes and Benghazi investigations can we get in?

When did Reid ever lose his seat?

Or was that just another of your wet dreams?

How many Obamacare votes made it past Harry's desk?

How many Employment bills are still sitting on it?

Compromise is a TWO WAY street.

(Unless you're a dem, as Harry has proven)

How many Obamacare votes had the same 60 filibuster votes that the Dems needed for their bills?

What are you talking about?

Reid wouldn't even put them UP for a vote.
