Newt to OWS: Get a job and take a bath

They got fucked hard. 'Paying their dues' has nothing to do with it. They grew up in a world of excess, walked what they were told was the right path, and when they got to the end of the path there was nothing there. Some of them might not fully understand why they got fucked, but they know they're fucked. And they are right.

There's plenty of blame to go around, and I'm sure some people fit into your convenient stereotype; But to suggest that they're all unemployed because they're lazy and want a handout ain't gonna fly. Too much readily available data suggests otherwise.

The problem is, they thought that the end of college was the end of the path. It's the beginning.

You know what, this is the fourth recession I've gone through in my adult life, and every one of them, I get set back a bit. You deal with it. You don't whine that "Gee, I didn't get what I was expecting. Boo hoo hoo." No. You press on. If you have to put in more hours for less money, that's what you do, until you prove your worth.

This recession, I got fired from a job after six years because they had to make a job for a daughter of some college girl whose daddy was friends with the corporate manager. Had to work a temp job until they hired me full time. That's what you do.

Yeah, I think that Wall Street's behavior is abhorant. But at the end of the day, your boy Barry didn't send any of those guys to jail, and he took a shitload of money from them in 2008, and at the end of the day, you and all the other OWIES will vote for him.

So don't come whining to me because Newt gave you some good advice you won't take.

right that is why the rest of the country is trucking right on along under the same system

but you're owed

'Trucking along?' :eusa_eh:

That's an interesting way to describe our current economy.

why do some live self-supporting and accountable lives despite conditions

while others won't ?

Mathematically, not everyone can. Don't you get that? You can shift around the jobs from area to area, have a new plant open somewhere and hire 50 while another shuts down somewhere else and lays off 75... But any way you slice it, there are not enough jobs available for job seekers.

Please see above post re your exemplary work ethic.

And you're right about 'my boy Barry.' That's why his numbers are so low. He's a sellout. But a disappointing friend is better than a certain enemy.

But you see, that's the problem. If I can open a plant somewhere else and 50 people are as productive as 75, then those 75 people weren't terribly productive, were they?

wooooo.... Is this what passes for clever on the left, these day? 'You're fat'.

Um...is it really what passes for political discourse from someone who wants to be president? "Take a bath"?

Perhaps Newt doesn't realize that the President has to be President of the whole United States, not just the folks that shop at Tiffany.

In related news... Newt pulls ahead of Romney in the USA Today poll.

he now leads Romney in three out of four polls in the RCP Average.

RealClearPolitics - Election 2012 - 2012 Republican Presidential Nomination

Flavor of the weak.

Keep telling yourself that, man.

Not likely, though.

I kind of expect that what we are really seeing is a repeat of 2008. You had Romney with all the money, but the rank and file didn't want him, no matter how much he spent. So they dallied with first Rudy, then Thompson, then Huckabee, and finally got to McCain.

Everyone wrote McCain off as dead, but he battled back to win the nomination.

Heck, two months ago, if you told me I'd be supporting Newt right now, I'd have scoffed. Now I see, he's probably the best we have.

Like Kerry in 2004.

Hey Hussein your children, Shitters United are crying about not having a job. "WHERE'S THE JOBS HUSSEIN?"

Major difference.

Bush had a 53% approval rating in 2004. That's why he won.

Obama right now has a 42% approval rating.

This is why I worry a lot more about who gets the nomination rather than who is actually "electable". I think anyone the GOP nominates can probalby beat Obama, because at the end of the day, it will about his failures, not their flaws or idealogy.

So the Republicans might as well go for broke and nominate a solid conservative and stop listening to the MSM telling us about Romney's "electability".

Hey Hussein, your children, Shitters United are crying about not having a job. "WHERE'S THE JOBS HUSSEIN?"

Was that not the promise of the Republicans in the midterm election?

WHERE'S THE BUDGET?? No budget in how long?? Liberals had all three Houses and now point a finger at the republicans who have a majority in only one house?? ROFLMAO Since when did the House alone pass bills??? You moron.

Uh, no. It wasn't.

the promise of the Midterms was to limit Obama's damage and get spending under control, which they've done.

How is that different from Obama calling Americans enemies, arrogant, soft, antipathetic, xenophobes, teabaggers...etc?
