Newt Gingrich voicing concerns over the dangers of atheism!!

We live in a predominantly Christian nation. Militant atheists aren't attacking any other religion here. Throughout history socialism has always attempted to subordinate the dominant religion. Even when it was one religion against another.
As Newt said, the danger he perceives is to America, not Christianity. He's trying to invoke YHWH in petty parochial conflicts while YHWH is jerking his chain. Given that YHWH is omniscient and omnipotent.

I hope Newtie told those students at Ave Maria Law School, one of the lowest-ranked law schools in America (56.9% of its graduates pass the Bar Exam), that their duty as Officers of the Court is to accord Buddhism, Islam, and Pantheistic Quackeries exactly the same legal respect they extend to Christianity.
Why wouldn't he?
He might confuse them with atheists.

They are totally related. That's how we will be destroyed from within.

We are never to think of God's power in terms of what he could conceivably do by the exercise of what we may call sheer omnipotence which crushes all obstacles in its path. We are always to think of God's power in terms of his purpose. If what he did by sheer omnipotence defeated his purpose, then, however startling and impressive, it would be an expression of weakness, not of power. Indeed, a good definition of power is "ability to achieve purpose. Does it fulfill its purpose? We have no idea what refraining from action costs God.

That's doubtful.

Because people of one faith can't possibly respect a people of another faith?
It seems the person of faith, Newt, can't respect people of no faith, so the precedent is there.
That would be your choice to see it that way. I wonder if you are consistent in that regard.

Myself I sidestep that whole selectivity issue by understanding that people make mistakes and then must move on.

YHWH's omniscience is an illusion and heresay of the poster. 'There is no other of the Big Other.' (Zizek)

What hubris, to determine America as or more important than Christianity. YHWH is disappoint.
Alexander Solzhenitsyn
“More than half a century ago, while I was still a child, I recall hearing a number of older people offer the following explanation for the great disasters that had befallen Russia: ‘Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened.’”

“Since then I have spent well-nigh fifty years working on the history of our Revolution; in the process I have read hundreds of books, collected hundreds of personal testimonies,

and have already contributed eight volumes of my own toward the effort of clearing away the rubble left by that upheaval...But if I were asked today to formulate as concisely as possible the main cause of the ruinous Revolution that swallowed up some sixty million of our people, I could not put it more accurately than to repeat: "Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened.’”

Ah. Do you see it that Newt is respecting people of no faith?
No. I don't. You have faith that God doesn't exist.

Interesting. I wonder what his purpose would be in having Newt attack a section of the American populace.
He didn't attack anyone. He was warning them.

What did he say that was an attack exactly? Can you quote it?
