Newt Gingrich: His Baggage Has Baggage

If you'll remember, it was Republicans who pushed him out of his leadership position in 1999.

Maybe it's because the republicans have a higher standard than do the democrats. Maybe the democrats should take a few lessons from the republicans.

Don't be silly. They pushed him out because he blew the 1998 midterm elections where the Democrats actually picked up seats. The fact is that Americans as a whole were totally against trying to drive Clinton from office. But Republicans didn't care what the American people wanted (Kinda like today) It was Tom DeLay (that paragon of virtue who was convicted of money laundering in TX in November of 2010) who insisted in going for impeachment instead of censure.

With that said, corruption is pretty much an equal opportunity sideline for politicians because our system is awash in money. Unfortunately, the SC decision in Citizens United vs the FEC case is only going to make it worse. However, it always seems that it's the Republicans who take it to a higher level.

While I'm at it, guess which presidential administration had more
scandals, resulting in the investigation, indictment, or conviction of over 138 administration officials, the most of any president?

It was conservatives' beloved Reagan.

And just to bring this post back to the present, we almost certainly wouldn't be having the OWS protests we're having right now if it wasn't for the fact that so many of our politicians sold out to special interests for money at the expense of average Americans.

And now? A former lobbyist, Newt Gingrich, who claims he wasn't a lobbyist at all, is at the top of the GOP race for the nomination. How ironic and absurd this all is. While OWS protesters are bemoaning corruption, the GOP now has a corrupt former lobbyist leading in the polls.

Sure ok if thats what you want to believe. do not stand there and complain because I just farted when you have a load of shit in your underwear.

So says the guy who was running a male prostitution ring out of his apartment.

and then was having Anal Sex with a guy at "Fannie Mae" while it was ripping off the country.

THAT Barney Frank?

Oh yeah.

Frank and Dodd.

A couple of winners.

These two stood around with their fingers up there ass, swearing up and down everything was okay, while Rome was burning.

Any wonder why the country is broke??

Obama supporters are more afraid of Newt than any of the other nominees.

They know that Newt would mop the floor with Obama in a debate.

The Democrats have already been told that they should be "shaking in their boots" at the mere mention of Sarah Pailin, Donald Trump, Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Herman Cain and now Newt Gingrich.

Newt's going to need all the debating skills he can muster to explain why he received $1.6-$1.8 million dollars from Freddie Mac to buy political access to his conservative friends - only to "bad-mouth" his employer after he was paid.

I'm sure. That puffy old man is a huge bullshitter. I've only watched one debate so far and Newt looks just as desperate as any of them.

Newt Gingrich -- The Rhett Butler Of The GOP? | Fox News

Newt Gingrich could very well be the GOP nominee for one very simple reason: He doesn't give a damn. He doesn't care what the media says about his campaign. He doesn't care that you shouldn't say Barney Frank should be arrested. He doesn't mind telling a CBS debate moderator he's lying...He couldn't give a flying fill-in-the-blank!

I've been saying for more than a year that the person who defeats the Billion Dollar Democrat will not do it with great speeches or flashy ad campaigns or by delivering a glib line on Jay Leno's couch. It's not going to be about with whom the voters want to have that proverbial beer. The person who defeats Barack Obama will do so in the debates.

Get em Newt.. The smarmy Zombie left who love to cause division and hatred between Americans with their class warfare don't mind if their own pathetic leaders raise billions, or excuse billionaires from taxes ..(Immelt)

I'm not sure how that's even relevent to much of anything. Obama took millions from the big banks in campaign contributions in 2008 and he's hitting them up again for 2012.

But no matter who the GOP puts up, Obama still has to go up there with his limp record. that's probably why he's shaking in his boots.
