Newsweek: "Obama's Gotta Go"

Krugman calls it unethical, and then proceeds to lie about the CBO report he is using to defend his charges. The CBO report clearly questions the premise that the PPACA will reduce the deficit, pointing out that it relies on politically charged issues that have never been implemented before, despite the fact that the 'doc fix" has been part of Medicare law for years. Can anyone explain why it is unethical for an opponent of Obamacare to lie, but perfectly legitimate for a supporter of it to lie?

Yeah yeah, now here's where you're going to tell me your avatar is Christian Slater and Christian Bale.
I thought that's where you were headed, except the one looks more likecTom Cruise, than Bale.
And anyway, being that you're a lib it would make more sense to go after Christianity, which would then be typical.

That's because my avatar is Christian Slater and Christian Bale, yet you felt the need to feel offended as attacking Christianity. Like I said, the true litmus test for idiots. Congrats. :clap2:

Being that you're a redneck with a shitty life, it makes sense that you need to find things to complain about. So unless Batman is now the Pope, you're just another non-thinking asshole who opens his mouth before his brain. Be proud.
First of all asshole that's a lousy Bale. Looks a lot more like Tom Cruise.
Second asshole, you guys on the left attack Christianity so much, it fits that you would be making a comment about the religion.

So, you don't like the artistic rendering. Fine. Complain about that. But watch out, maybe the artist was a Jew, you wouldn't want to be considered a Nazi......or would you.

"Attacking Christianity so much". LOL, thanks for the laugh. Get over yourself.

Niall Ferguson trolls everyone in Newsweek
Getting every single fact wrong in a magazine cover story is a great way to get everyone's attention

So Ferguson wrote a Newsweek cover (Newsweek has become “trolling America weekly” since Tina Brown took over) about how he thinks Obama shouldn’t be president anymore, and while there are tons of very legitimate and compelling arguments against the Obama presidency, Ferguson instead based his article on a bunch of crap he made up. And the piece is full of just really obvious fallacies and little moments of mendacity like this:
In an unguarded moment earlier this year, the president commented that the private sector of the economy was “doing fine.” Certainly, the stock market is well up (by 74 percent) relative to the close on Inauguration Day 2009. But the total number of private-sector jobs is still 4.3 million below the January 2008 peak.
Hm! Weird that one thing is measured from January 2009 and the other thing from January 2008, right?
Lots more lies by omission and commission at link. What a fucking weasel.

He got at least one fact right, so my guess us your article is full of as many lies as it accuses the cover story of having.

All over the internet you guys on the left go after Christianity, so again, you're a leftist, the avatar fits in with your agenda.
Maybe if you didn't already come with that reputation, conclusions wouldn't come so easily.

He's got a point though, leftists attacking Christianity and Christians is about as cliche as Nazis attacking Jews.

Or you attacking a 6 pack of Natty Light after a long day of scratching yourself on the couch.

Only to a brain-dead wingnut:

Newsweek silent on Niall Ferguson errors

After the New York Times' Paul Krugman and The Atlantic's Matthew O'Brien revealed multiple factual inaccuracies in Niall Ferguson's Newsweek cover-story on President Obama; after James Fallows took it upon himself as a Harvard alum to apologize for Ferguson; and after Business Insider's Joe Weisenthal and yours truly drew attention to Ferguson's blatant effort to distort the meaning conveyed by the Congressional Budget Office report in his response to Krugman.... Newsweek spokesman Andrew Kirk sends this:
Niall Ferguson has responded to Paul Krugman's critique. Newsweek continues to monitor the debate.
Kirk did not respond to repeated requests for an interview with Ferguson.

Damn, what a suprise, not really. John McCains' campaign advisor thinks Barack hasn't lived up to his campaign pledges. Since the party of obstrution has been hard had at work, trying to make him a one term president is this man's opinion a suprise to anyone?

you apparently don't know much about Niall Ferguson.

In his inaugural address, Obama promised "not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth." He promised to "build the roads and bridges, the electric grids, and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together." He promised to "restore science to its rightful place and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost." And he promised to "transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age." Unfortunately the president's scorecard on every single one of those bold pledges is pitiful.
Newsweek Cover: Obama Has Broken Promises

Too late, there's the cover in all it's glory wherever magazines are sold from coast to coast ! :clap2:

This one sticks because every person in America will see it on the supermarket checkout line..............many of whom have the political IQ of a small soap dish who just a few years back were seeing Obama adorned lovingly on every magazine cover.

Meanwhile, we have threads in here like "Romney is bald!!" and "Romney ALWAYS chooses vanilla ice cream!" by hyperpartisan k00ks like Lakota, Truthmatters and Franco which dont add up to dick.

Yep....Obama = broken promise after broken promise.

Gitmo
cut the deficit
transparent government
no red state, no blue state, just one nation
etc.

Are you aware that the Republicans in the House and Senate refused to allow the closing of GTMO?

Are you aware that the House controls the purse strings, not the Executive Branch?

I don't see any evidence that he has been less transparent than Bush.

When - on the very night of Obama's inauguration - Republicans get together to agree that they will oppose everything he does, who gets the blame for national division?
