Newsweek:Melania Trump orders removal of the 200-year-old Jackson Magnolia tree from the White House

They can burn it in the White House incinerator...Along with those pesky Rusky documents left over in hiding...

Melania Trump orders removal of the near-200-year-old tree from the White House

....because the tree was damaged and decayed and unable to be saved. Newsweek isn’t even worth the $1 it was purchased for.

Hey stupid...............the Newsweek article you linked to said that very same thing. That the tree had been evaluated and was no longer safe to be around. And yeah, even though I don't really like Trump or his family, this was a sound decision because it is in a place where reporters and people stand when Marine 1 takes off. If the tree fell, many people could get injured.

Hate to tell you, but not everything is a bash on Trump in the media. This was just a story saying why the tree was removed. And, it was a good decision.

Take off your Trump media goggles. Not everything is fake news or a conspiracy.

Update
CNN obtained documents from specialists at the United States National Arboretum, which determined the magnolia tree must be removed. The tree is “completely dependent on artificial support,” the document read.

The document said, “Without the extensive cabling system, the tree would have fallen years ago. Presently, and very concerning, the cabling system is failing on the east trunk, as a cable has pulled through the very thin layer of wood that remains. It is difficult to predict when and how many more will fail.”

Hey, I told all you conservatives that when Trump or his family made a good decision, I would say they chose right.

They chose right on the tree.

Newsweek ain't stupid. Thus the headline they chose that Melania "orders" the removal of a 200-y-o tree when all she did was agree with tree experts that it posed a threat and should thus be taken down.

The headline tells the whole story to the low info lefty dweebs just waiting for a chance to wet their pants again.

You know, this hyperpartisan crap has to stop. Did she "order" or "okay" it? Doesn't really matter, because 1) she is FLOTUS, and 2) the tree was a serious hazard because it had been rotted so badly that it was no longer capable of standing, even with all the reinforcing cables to help out.

Now................think about this.................if any of us had a large tree in front of our house that had turned like the one at the WH, 99 percent of us would have the tree removed because it's a hazard. Yeah, it was also part of the history, but to keep things that might kill you around just because of history is kinda stupid. Buildings you can renovate and rebuild, but living things like trees, well..........when they die and go bad, you have to remove them.

Down here in Amarillo, there are times that trees die because of the drought that we have had, and they must be removed. I've seen neighbors remove some very nice trees out of their yard because they were half dead. I've also seen the park remove trees that had been there a long time, but because they died, they needed to be removed and new ones planted in their place.

Melania was told that the tree was no longer viable. She agreed that it was no longer viable and as FLOTUS, she was in a position of authority, so yeah, it could be considered an order.

But. A sensible one.

Lay off of Melania. Yeah, I don't appreciate Trump or his family very much because I don't like his style of leadership. It's pretty much against everything that I learned in the military about leadership.

But removing the tree makes sense. Lay off the hyperpartisan crap.
