After Hollywood, the mainstream media had the worst #MeToo record. Here's another reminder of that as the media circles the wagons in defense of Jim Acosta's ugly scene. It's not news that CNN was bound to back Acosta. But the rest of the media decided that Acosta's latest narcissistic tantrum was the hill to die on. For the First Amendment.

As Times White House reporter Julie Davis tweeted on Thursday, “@Acosta's behavior here, like it or not, does not disqualify him from the First Amendment-protected freedom to ask questions. Otherwise, how are we different from a place that has no freedom of the press at all?”

If Jim Acosta loses his hard pass, we might as well be Turkey and lock up hundreds of journalists. It's exactly the same thing.

He had blocked 2 efforts to get him to hand back the mic with her right hand, and pushed her left hand away when she tried again.

She was assaulting him

In the majority of foreign countries, someone like Jim Acosta who refused a leader would get his butt shot off. I don't think his grazing her arm quite qualifies as her assault. She was doing her job as a parliamentarian. He wasn't doing anything remotely journalistic, and he got called on it. He resisted a woman. If that had been a burly 6-ft. Secret Service agent man approaching him, he would have handed the microphone over. He didn't respect the duty of the woman, so he's a damned sexist, any angle you look at the scenario from. You Democrats get all huffed up when it's a Republican man who needs a lesson, but you knock yourselves out defending even worse behavior against women by one of you, and claim that it's her fault. Get a grip.

He should have obeyed the rules of ethics, and stopped his attempted gotcha attacks on the President, and he should have surrendered the mic to the lady trying to do her job (once he was known to be out of line in the press conference). The press needs to understand that they are invited there in order to report on current government affairs pertaining to running the country's business, and they are not invited there to attack the president out of personal hatred of the president unrelated to the business of the day.

If I were Trump I would suspend anyone's press pass that are only interested in being the attack dogs for Agenda's that are completely out of line with the real concerns of everyday citizens whom rely on a functioning government, and the world who relies on a functioning government as well.
