U law prof Richard Painter sues Trump over ethics

New plaintiffs join lawsuit that claims Trump violates Constitution

The lawsuit was filed in January by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, a government watchdog group. It claims Trump is prohibited from accepting anything of value from a foreign government by the Foreign Emoluments Clause.

An emolument is any kind of payment made to a federal official, according to the suit.

Taxpayers pay legal bill to protect Trump business profits

Taxpayers are footing the legal bill for at least 10 Justice Department lawyers and paralegals to work on lawsuits related to President Trump's private businesses.

--------------------------

Two separate major scandals. Told you they were coming fast and furious.

Richard Painter was Bush's ethics lawyer. So this is not a man without experience. Others have piled on since then. Trump is not supposed to be taking money from foreign government. The judge will rule in the next couple of weeks if that goes to trial. If it does, Trump tax returns are fair game.

And get this,

DOJ lawyers and paralegals work on lawsuits against Trump companies, AND US TAX PAYERS ARE PAYING FOR IT!

We already know Republicans are working overtime to raise taxes on the Middle Class. But now, we're supposed to pay legal fees for his companies?

How does that work?

Once again, USMB Republicans will defend the indefensible. I hope it's worth it to them, they are also footing the bill for Trump.

Here's another chip in our shining armor: Ouch! This country replaces U.S. as country with the best image

As fast as democrats can make them up. This is what they did to Sarah Palin .

Yep. But, unlike trump, she quit. He won't.
Palin just couldn't afford it and her entire staff spent all their time on these trivial lawsuits. They eventually all got dismissed but while they were going on the goal was to waste time and money which they did. One lawsuit was because a label showed on a jacket. Another was that Palin sent a note to her hairdresser thanking her for a good haircut.

IMO anyone who gets to be president is corrupt and part of the "club" even if they act like they're an outsider.

But, I do have to say… I remember when Mr. slick was president and they had scandal after scandal after scandal after scandal….including many that the MSM never talked about. Anyone who took the time to research the Clintons knew that they were as corrupt and evil as it gets. However, the Dems not only turned a blind eye to all of that, but they always denied everything in a knee-jerk way and instead acted like he could do no wrong.

So, pardon me if I don't take their sudden interest in corruption seriously.

all trump does is settle.

During the election? You betcha. Take a look at his overall record and it is him doing the majority of the suing, and he wins the overwhelming majority of the cases.
Depends on how you define winning. If you stiff your workers and they don't have the money to keep taking you to court, did you "win"?
Remember Trump U. He only settled to get it over with.
Then there is the criminal scam known as the Trump Foundation. Not allowed to close because it's under multiple criminal investigations.

I know Republicans admire Trump and see him as a role model. But he's swine. It's sad, they say they are Christians and then see a swine as a role model for their children.
It's pitiful,

just

pitiful.

And he never sued his accusers.

I'm watching new scandal at the Trump Hotel in Panama City. A center for criminals to meet and make deals

A Panama tower carries Trump's name and ties to organized crime

November 17, 2017

“White House senior adviser Jared Kushner told congressional Russia investigators that he did not communicate with WikiLeaks and did not recall anyone on the Trump campaign who had,” CNN reports.

“But Kushner did receive and forward an email from Donald Trump Jr. about contact Trump Jr. had with WikiLeaks,
according to a new report this week and a letter from the Senate Judiciary Committee.”

Meanwhile,:tomato: NBC News reports that Kushner failed to disclose what lawmakers called a “Russian backdoor overture and dinner invite” involving a banker who has been accused of links to Russian organized :eek-52: crime.:bye1:

I saw that.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Jared Kushner’s Felon Father Back At Helm Of Empire With Two Fellow Inmates

It’s hard to find work right out of prison. But Avram Lebor and Richard Goettlich walked from their Alabama penitentiary into top jobs at the real estate company then run by Jared Kushner, now President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser. The two men, convicted in separate sprawling fraud schemes, were hired several years ago by his father, Charles Kushner, who had been locked up in the same federal prison with them.

Trump should know better than messing with a real man.
