New study shows the Antarctic is warming

The earth doesn't maintain a perfect orbit either. If it gets closer to the sun, it gets hotter. If it gets further away, it gets colder. Nothing we can do about it and we didn't cause it to happen either way.

sun spots and other solar activity add to it as well

Yes, you are both right, and if you read articles about climate change, these issues are always taken into consideration.

Solar activity definitely plays a part in climate change, but can not explain many of the changes that have taken place in the past century. Did you know, for instance, that in the last 35 years of global warming, sun and climate have been going in opposite directions?

Stop using facts and logic, Jon. It interferes with liberal ideology.

has this thread always been in the conspiracy theories section

Wow! Almost one whole degree warmer in over 20 years. The sky is falling!

You guys achieve nothing by refusing to look at this topic like adults, you know.

Why not look at the topic with an open mind, do some reading, and then make up your own mind based on that?

John - no one is claiming the temperatures rise every year like clockwork. Listen to wjat scientists are saying, then you might be able to make a better judgement call.

You guys achieve nothing by refusing look at the topic from the point of view of science.

Remember - every one of the 60 largest scientific organisations in the world backs climate change. Organisations in every developed country in trhe world, including very many that are strongly conservative. THAT is what you need to listen to.

Of course you can form whatever opnions you like, but it makes sense to understand the topic first, THEN form an opnion. At the moment you are just going on about liberals as if that explains Arctic ice melt.

Dude, your argument is really getting old. We can't help it if you are gullible enough to swallow everything you're spoon fed by opportunists with political agendas. You believe whatever you want.

it does make one wonder though

if the republicans had been the one pushing

"man made global warming"

how supportive these global warmists would be

And so the theory goes like this

Because of the warming temperature, moister air is causing greater snowfall on Antarctica thus INCREASING the amount of snow falling, hence increasing the amount of ice forming on that continent.

Counter intuitive much?

Yes, it is.

But Global Weirding will bring us many counter-intuitive outcomes, I suspect.

This kind of post is very easily established, because conservatives have backed climate change science in the UK, France, Germany, New Zealand and a host of other countries. There are probably around 20 developed countries in which conservative politicians back climate change.

Do you see anyone arguing that they have got it wrong? That they are not conservative?

In much of the world climate change is NOT a political topic, it's a scientific one.

S.J.

Try to post with a little honesty and common sense.

I have just explained that almost all conservative parties and politicians in the world do accept climate change science, and I can post examples for you if you wish.

Nope. I don't care what others think. I make up my own mind.

SJ -

Making up your own mind is great. Ignoring what other like-minded people are sayibg is not.

Once you understand that around the world most conservatives do accept AGW, it becomes a scientific issue, and not a politicl one.
