Shocking! not...

'The Obama campaign apparently didn't look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, "Forward" — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.

Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name "Forward!" or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called "Forward (generic name of socialist publications)."

"The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications," the online encyclopedia explains.'

They've been flashing "Lean Forward" on MSNBC for about a month now.

Great find!

It's interesting when you get into how Obama is portrayed in posters.

Yes, Forward is a left/Marxist slogan. The Yiddish paper Der Forverts was originally a socialist/communist paper.

Nothing is an accident and nothing is overlooked when it comes to campaign slogans.
They knew the history and it was put forth as their message.

I was reading about this earlier..anyone ever see a President have more symbols, motto's or self portraits done by his followers than Obama?

makes you wonder eh?

Nope.....the left owns backward too.

Going to have to explain that one chief.

Progressive ideology has been tried and failed before. It preceded the Great Depression.

You mean the First Great Republican Depression? Your posts are just as dumb as the come, Mud. Just as the present major recession was created by unregulated markets, a la GOP ideals, the First Great Republican Depression was created the same way.

It's a good slogan, synonymous with the word "attack" on a battlefield, get used to it.

Have you ever heard of the Russian paper "Pravda"? It means "truth", and was a communist newspaper. Hey, wait a minute, Rush Limbaugh uses the word "truth" all the time. COMMUNIST!

I can't believe the Washington Times is referencing a Wiki page that's only 3 sentences long. Actually, I can't believe they're referencing a wiki page at all! The Times is really stretching on this article. Besides, what's the point of the article? Only die hard republicans will care about the article, while almost no one else will give it a second thought. This isn't journalism, it's just a hopeless partisan attempt to knock Obama down a peg or two.

Yup. The end of a way of life. Too bad. It's a good way. Wagons forward! Yo! John Wayne

The above used used by John Wayne and don't forget the Ronald Reagan Society "Reagan Forward"

2012 Honorary Reagan Fellow

and don't forget Ron Paul "Ron Paul vows to continue forward with campaign for President"

Marxist ALL!!
