My politics are socially moderate but fiscally conservative.

I do not believe in either more tax cuts for the rich nor more safety nets for the poor.

The middle class do not need anything but they are disappearing fast.

While I understand Keynesian economic concepts I do not believe in endless deficits forever.

At the same time I believe a balanced budget amendment would be a disaster leading to a major depression out of the next recession.

There tend to be business cycle recessions about every 10 or so years. Turning one of these into a major depression would be insane.

Welcome....hope you enjoy posting here.
So far things have gone well.

The moderation is lite except in the CDZ which I discovered by trial and error.

There seems to be a lot of high school drop outs mostly on the far right fringe, and a lot of intellectuals on the far left.

I avoid both extremes.

The ancient philosopher Hesiod said "moderation in all things".

Careful with the oxymoron of intellectual far left liberals.

High school dropout far right fringe is just redundant.

You mean Clinton and Webb and Sanders.

Sanders are Progressive socialist liberal.

He is disapointed he don't win against Clinton.

The only intellectual around here is guno and he's batshit crazy and bowlegged.

The moderation here is lite except there is this 14 year old little b!tch who is racist.

But she must be some mod's daughter because she gets away with it.

So I put her on ignore and now she is to all intents and purposes dead.

The ignore feature works here better than anyplace else I have seen.

Once you ignore/button them they really are ignored and you never even see them ever again.

Works like a charm.

This year my ballot said "nonpartisan unaffiliated".

I guess the other common term "independent" has already been taken by some partisan group.

I could not bring myself to vote for either Trump or Hillary but I am very glad Hillary lost.

For the Senate I voted GOP and I am very glad McConnell retained control. Now the SCOTUS will be safe.

For the House Of Reps I really wanted the DEM's to take over so that we could retain some form of divided government. But I guess Schumer as a filibuster in the Senate is as close as we will come for the next 2 years to divided government.
