A Darwin award is presented to someone who dies doing something incredibly stupid. In this case a Florida man died shortly after winning a roach eating contest. Edward Archbold allegedly consumed dozens of live roaches as well as some worms in a pet shop sponsored contest to win a snake. Apparently none of the other contestants became sick.

Eating roaches isn't dangerous. Too bad completely stupid posts can't kill and win the poster a Darwin award.

According to the story the guy ate dozens. Imagine the autopsy when they look in his stomach? Roaches can live in all kinds of hostile environment maybe he swallowed some alive. Anyway the facts are that he ate dozens of roaches and he is dead. Connect the dots Sherlock.

Maybe it was all that paper from the roaches. Worms? They're harmless.

Think about this the next time an environmentalist says we should be eating insects instead of t-bone steaks.
