New Backroom deal may finally pass Barrycare

Like I said, if he ain't been preaching hate for 20 years then bring on the love and pride.. it's on sale in the lobby.. let's see it.

OK, it took me a second to figure out what "on sale in the lobby" is supposed to mean, at first I thought it was some kind of metaphor I didn't understand. Now I get it. Heh-heh.

Anyway, are you asking me to post a link to something non-hateful he said? I'm sure I could if that's what you want. Not that it would matter, whether he did or not what does that have to do with Barry?

My Way News - Dems seek agreement, quick vote on health care

Dishonest, disgusting and the death of the democrats, all rolled up in one.

They even added in money to be sent to education.

Not only money for education---BUT from what I heard they plan to take-over ENERGY in this country by the TAX & CAP that they plan to add to health care bill.--:cuckoo::cuckoo:

You know, I don't think Americans are going to put up with this bull-shit anymore.

There is a fine line--between Capitalism & Socialism--& I beieve that the majority of Americans know the difference. If they pass this health care bill--the anger will roll out into the streets. We are not Europe--we as Americans fled Europe centurties ago--for freedom from government---I think it is in our blood.

They will not win in trying to intimidate Americans.--We will revolt-- & this may be the second revolution this country experiences. It's already started with the Tea Party movement in this country.

We're mad as hell & we're not going to take it anymore

Are you an idiot? Or are you being sarcastic?

the full context? is that where he said Goddamn america because california has the three-strike law?

Jeremiah Wright controversy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"I heard Ambassador Peck on an interview yesterday. Did anybody else see him or hear him? He was on Fox News. This is a white man, and he was upsetting the Fox News commentators to no end. He pointed out — did you see him, John? — a white man, he pointed out, ambassador, that what Malcolm X said when he got silenced by Elijah Muhammad was in fact true — America's chickens are coming home to roost."[15]

"Violence begets violence. Hatred begets hatred. And terrorism begets terrorism. A white ambassador said that y'all, not a black militant. Not a reverend who preaches about racism. An ambassador whose eyes are wide open and who is trying to get us to wake up and move away from this dangerous precipice upon which we are now poised. The ambassador said the people that we have wounded don’t have the military capability we have. But they do have individuals who are willing to die and take thousands with them. And we need to come to grips with that."[19]

And in the infamous line in full context:

Clips from a sermon that Wright gave, entitled “Confusing God and Government”, were also shown on ABC's Good Morning America[1] and Fox News. In the sermon, Wright first makes the distinction between God and governments, and points out that many governments in the past have failed: "Where governments lie, God does not lie. Where governments change, God does not change."[21]

"And the United States of America government, when it came to treating her citizens of Indian descent fairly, she failed. She put them on reservations. When it came to treating her citizens of Japanese descent fairly, she failed. She put them in internment prison camps. When it came to treating her citizens of African descent fairly, America failed. She put them in chains, the government put them on slave quarters, put them on auction blocks, put them in cotton field, put them in inferior schools, put them in substandard housing, put them in scientific experiments, put them in the lowest paying jobs, put them outside the equal protection of the law, kept them out of their racist bastions of higher education and locked them into positions of hopelessness and helplessness. The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, not God Bless America. God damn America — that's in the Bible — for killing innocent people. God damn America, for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America, as long as she tries to act like she is God, and she is supreme. The United States government has failed the vast majority of her citizens of African descent.."[21][22][23][24]

I think any of us can agree with his statements no matter what before what I bolded first.

The second stuff I bolded was to show why he was saying it.

I don't agree with any of it, the only thing I agree with is his right to spew it. there is no justification for that hatred.

And you know Rev. Wright "sprouted" hate daily for 20 years how? Were you sitting there?

I'm willing to bet you never even watched the full context of the videos and just got your info from Faux.

You move the goal posts constantly you dishonest hack.

I'll give you a perfect example of how your bullshit is wrong.

Rev. Wright and MLK Jr. were mentored by the same person. So are they exactly the same? Does MLK Jr. hate America? YES or NO.

Frankly, if you listen to the entire "God damn america" speech, it's actually pretty benign compared to how it's portrayed. If the man's been preaching for 20+ and this is the best they can come up with... Well it certainly falls short of automatic "America-Hater."

Let's not forget... And I'm going to try my best to choose my words carefully here... This is a black TUCC mega-church we're talking about. They tend to get a little... Rowdy. In any event it's not a statement upon Barry himself.

Would any Republican whose watched the 700 club with Pat Robertson's unabated and unapologetic hate-spewing be an automatic America-Hater? I think not.

Like I said, if he ain't been preaching hate for 20 years then bring on the love and pride.. it's on sale in the lobby.. let's see it.

You don't agree with the facts?

If this congress & administration pass this bill--I can guarantee you--you will see nation wide pride--in the form of rolling over Washinton D.C & squashing it.

"Well of course it's a very bad idea," said Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. "We now have the government running banks, insurance companies, car companies, and they do want to take over the student loan business."

There is not 'student loan business'. You borrow the money from the federal government and the 'student loan companies' collect your payments plus some healthy interest rates. The private sector never should have been allowed into student loans in the first place. All they are is an additional expense to people who can least afford it.

Uh, McConnell knows that Bush did the bailouts, he just knows that his lemmings are stupid enough not to know.

Dishonest, disgusting and the death of the democrats, all rolled up in one.

They even added in money to be sent to education.

Money spent on edumacasion?! Shirley you jest! The HORROR!

MONEY thrown at Educational Ills is absolutely essential......up to a point.

But, after that illusory point, using the example of Catholic Schools vs Public Schools, the Catholic schools do DRAMATICALLY MORE with LESS.

Thus the OBVIOUS CONCLUSION: the return for money simply thrown at education is NOWHERE CLOSE to the correct solution.

The difference between Public Schools and the Parochial Schools (not necessarily Catholic).....is the IDEOLOGICAL MINDSET of the children and their PARENTS (emphasis is on the PARENTS).

There is an ENORMOUS DIFFERENCE between the two.

And THAT accounts for the ASTONISHING difference in the EDUCATIONAL SUCCESS of the PAROCHIAL SCHOOLS vs-a-vis the PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

BTW, I am NOT a Catholic, or a religious person. Although I see benefits to Religion where they exist.

Bills begin in committee, right? I mean that's 7th grade civics. Education/Health Care? One of these things is not like the other...

These companies including oil companies are further proof that trickle down never worked. Republicans work for kickbacks and the priveleged few.

McConnell is one of the most stupid minority leaders, who would ever even listen to that guy...

From what I've read personally and in my research about the student loan changes, it eliminates the middle man (private companies).

Examples of how the money is transferred and which way.

This is the current way:

Student < Private Company < Government.

This is the way after:

Student < Government.

All the private companies do now is the job the government could of done in the first place on this issue.

Because we all know government runs things more efficiently and cheaply than private enterprise.
Go figure out why universities are opposed to this particular expansion of government.
And then go ask your English teacher why you should be sent back to remedial English for your post.

Why yes, in many cases governments run thing much better than private companies. Look at the rest of the industrial world and health care. They pay half to three quarters of what we do, and their results are far better.

Hey, don't knock it.

Cover both in one reconciliation, and we have still got 5 reconciliations left to catch up to the Republicans.
