Ya' REALLY want to look bi-polar?????

:eusa_eh:

“The United States believes that through good-faith negotiations, the parties can mutually agree on an outcome which ends the conflict and reconciles the Palestinian goal of an independent and viable state, based on the 1967 lines, with agreed swaps, and the Israeli goal of a Jewish state with secure and recognized borders that reflect subsequent developments and meet Israeli security requirements.”

That’s not Obama, Bush or Rice, but a statement jointly issued by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Netanyahu on Nov. 11, 2010.

Today, Netanyahu says that any discussion of the 1967 borders is treason and that new borders must reflect “dramatic changes” since then. So in three years, an Israeli prime minister’s position has gone from “minor corrections” to “dramatic changes Netanyahu’s quarrel, it appears, is with himself. Yet we are to think it is Obama who has shifted policy?

Why did Netanyahu turn what was at best a minor difference into a major confrontation? Does it help Israel’s security or otherwise strengthen it to stoke tensions with its strongest ally and largest benefactor? Does such behavior further the resolution of Israel’s problems? No, but it helps Netanyahu stir support at home and maintain his fragile coalition. And while Bibi might sound like Churchill, he acts like a local ward boss, far more interested in holding onto his post than using it to secure Israel’s future."

Bwahahaha!

Some cry baby liberals just can't stand that Bibi wouldn't cowtow like liberals expect of everyone with Obama.

Instead he stood up and told Obama "screw you" your ideas of a 1967 border and not going to happen.

Liberals are just sputtering with rage over this!

When he's playing John Wayne he's playing to his base at home.

When he's playing the reasonable man, he's playing to the American public.

Forget what he says, look at what he does.

AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I was just stunned to see he started a thread, and floored to learn there are people that took him serious.

Good on you guys. You have way more tolerance for non-sense than I do.

One certainly does not have to be an anti-Semite and certainly one doesn't have to ascribe to the values of the Klan, or the NAZIs to question the policies that this nation has regarding Israel.

There's nothing we American can do about history except learn from it and TRY to do better.

Israel is a fact that is not going to go gently into the night, nor should it.

The Palestinians are likewise not going to lay down and die, nor should they

But no path to a peaceful solution in that tragic land is going to be found by war, suicide bombs or building WALLS such that people are herded like cattle into a place that is economically unviable.

But the UNited STATES doesn't NOT control Isreal or the Palestinians.

Blaming Obama, or Bush II, or any US POTUS for the mess that place has become is foolish to the extreme.

Those people have to arrive at their own modus vivendi.

All we can do is encourage those on both sides who are trying to find that solution.

if he did want to appear bipolar, would you give him lessons?

It's called politics, not bipolarity. The art of saying one thing and meaning many things. Obama knows this art well and he was just handed it back. :p
