NeoCon America-Hater Nailed

I'd be careful about going on NatVan at work, too...

Here's the story:

Admitted to passing high-level Iran intelligence to Israel and its Washington lobby

Larry Franklin, the disgraced former Pentagon analyst who threw the powerful Washington Zionist lobby AIPAC into a frenzy when he pled guilty to spying-related charges in October of 2005 has been sentenced to twelve years in federal prison. The sentence is about half of the twenty-five years he could have received. Franklin was also assessed a fine of $10,000.

As part of the plea deal Franklin, a Gentile, will testify against two former high-ranking officials of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. The pair, Steve Rosen and Keith Weissman, are charged in relation to government claims that they passed United States secrets to Israel. Their upcoming trial has forced a rupture between the two and AIPAC over the defense strategy. AIPAC is anxious to portray Rosen and Weissman as rogue agents, while they are understood to hold that their activities were part of general AIPAC conduct.

An Israeli "diplomatic official" named Naor Gilon fled to Israel shortly after the case broke. Federal prosecutors allege Franklin's information ultimately wound up with Gilon.

Chillingly, Franklin was an expert on Iran and the pilfered material dealt with America's disposition towards the Middle Eastern state. Israel has been pushing a war drive against Iran which has recently been amped up.
